The Biden Administration and All Things Politics

In the eyes of the law it is not murder or manslaughter. It is still homicide. Re-read the definition you posted. Abortion is a homicide that is not a crime (as of 2022).
If a fetus is fully a human being, then it has no right to stay attached to the uterus of another person.

Only if you assume a legal status as a "human being" for a fetus, which is not established across all states nor supported by the constitution. It cannot be homicide of any kind if it isn't a human being. You obviously ignored the rest of my post which explained exactly that.
The term "homicide" is not a legal term. Legal statuses are only important for determining if a thing is a crime. Legal status is required to determine murder or manslaughter, not homicide.

If I had said that abortion is murder, then you could have responded with the legal status argument. I specifically chose the word homicide on purpose. It doesn't matter if the courts have decided to recognize the rights of algae when determining if the stuff I'm pouring in my pool is algicide. All that matters is that it kills algae. You can sit and pound away at that square peg atop a round hole all you want but abortion is homicide.

So he doesnt want national politicians involved with womens decisions but he does want local political leaders involved? I dont see how that is better.

Seems like the other dude having recently suffered a stroke was some context left out of that other fracking clip fwiw

My wife became pregnant shortly after Roe was overturned. We were in the 1st trimester this summer and were really concerned with her health issues (she has a pretty extensive medical history) along with the fetus's while red states climbed over each other trying to come up with the most restrictive laws as possible. How has her life been improved by red states doing this? If Utah joined in this race, how would our lives have been improved, forcing us to drive to Colorado or California for health care? Would driving to Canada have been better? I don't know, probably not. You know what would've improved our lives (and countless others), keeping the status quo of Roe v Wade. It had gave women a good amount of autonomy with their bodies and then provided the fetus with protections, especially for the 3rd trimester.

What was wrong with the status quo?

Other than Supreme Court Republicans (the dog) finally caught the car?

Look at you and your cute semantics. Twist away my friend, twist away.

Homicide is a legal term for any killing of a human being by another human being. Homicide itself is not necessarily a crime—for instance, a justifiable killing of a suspect by the police or a killing in self-defense. Murder and manslaughter fall under the category of unlawful homicides.

Hmm.

@Thriller why are you posting the same tweets across multiple threads on a daily basis? It's slightly annoying.
I posted the above clip twice in a response to two different issues. Was there another post you were referring to?

Maybe we should keep threads separate? It’s hard to know where posts should go as It seems like every political thread devolves into the same lame arguments. My “Republicans and fascism” thread quickly devolved into another “Whatabout democrats” thread rather than sticking specifically with the threat of fascism towards our liberal democracy. Right now I think we have 3 threads bitching about the midterms, inflation and gas prices.

Perhaps you could create a thread for all the Republican whataboutisms? Or a thread for the midterms? Maybe that would help?

This has been an almost daily thing. I go from one thread with new posts to see that you've posted several tweets, then once I'm done looking at that thread I go to the next one with new posts and there are the same tweets again. I mean you must know you're doing this. I'd say post the most relevant tweets in the threads they most closely relate to or into the most active political thread and call it a day.

I mean I'm just expressing my take on this. I'm not telling you what to do. I don't think what you're doing is "wrong" it's just something that when I open the second or sometimes third thread where the only new posts are the same tweets you posted in the other threads it elicits a minor eye roll. That's all.

No, I don’t know that I’m doing this. Could you cite another post I’ve used the same articles or tweets in? I’d really like to know. Maybe it feels thee same because the same 2-3 Trumpers crap over thread making the conversations really redundant.

Maybe you’re being overly sensitive here since I can only remember the last two most recent posts which two out of the four tweets I had used in this thread. The two tweets were applicable in this one as we’ve talked about inflation and gas prices a lot and applicable in the other thread because we were talking about what republicans are campaigning on. Now the poster I was responding to just liked the post. And the thread will continue with his/her thoughts.

Cool man, if you're not intentionally doing it then don't worry about it.

Oh weird. So we shouldn’t base our opinions on candidates on 20 second out of context clips? What a concept.
No, we shouldn’t. Yet you keep posting them, with no context. It’s more “gotcha” ******** than substance.
It feels a little disingenuous that those who worship Trump and have no qualms with Herschel Walker are now suddenly concerned that a man recovering from a stroke struggled in a tv debate with a celebrity tv star. As if Trump has ever been coherent in the last 5 years?
What about Hershel Walker?
What about Trump?
Pretty hypocritical of you smearing people for using the whataboutism argument and then you go and use it yourself. I’m book marking this post and will be replying if you bitch at another poster for using the same defense.
I don’t think we really need a debate to know who the better candidate is. One believes in democracy, has worked in the legislative process before, and lives in PA and the other is a NJ tv celebrity who got bored and now wants to rubber stamp any Republican attack on our democracy.
Pennsylvania means more to Fetterman, then it ever did or will for OZ. Oz is another fake person who only cares about himself. He honestly doesn’t care about the needs of Pennsylvania. If he saw an opportunity to win in New Mexico, he would take it.
Which one will stand up for democracy and which one will merely go along with his party to empower whatever authoritarian comes out of the GOP?
He literally just stated in the clip I posted a response to not going along with Senator Grahams BS abortion law. So again, you’re just posting fear porn, with no substance.
Cmon now. We can’t be this broken, right?
Yes, we are this broken. With in the next decade I bet some Sex doll AI robot will be elected to office. No one does any research on candidates or news and just follows what the media tells them about each person and topic.
It’s frustrating that America can’t put forth more competent, successful candidates from both sides. We can’t be limited to just “left overs”

Wait why should abortion involve politicians, local or federal at all?
Because now it’s a States right. Each state has different views on the subject and we could end up with 50 different State abortion laws.
Why not just return the protections of Roe v Wade?
Because of a Supreme Court decision.
It seemed to be working for most Americans, right?
I agree, my whole life it was the law.

It was a response to Senator Grahams BS abortion proposal. He is not on board with it. Then he stated it is a State issue and the way things get done is to work the the parties involved (women, doctors and lawmakers) to create laws.
If there is a more conservative State, I bet more women and doctors will want to have more restrictions on abortions. If it’s a more liberal State the opposite would be true.

I’m sorry, I didn’t know that you guys were not aware of a swing state Senate race that had a candidate who suffered a major stroke, in May. It was national news.

Just a week ago, it was national news that a reporter let people know that he was not doing well and everyone ripped her opinion.

Before the debate it was national news that he had screens installed so he could read the questions.

If your news source is leaving this information out, I would recommend adding or changing where you get the news.

I’m not trying to hide anything. I will post more context in my next posts.

I was genuinely baffled why Fetterman accepted the debate. I’m being serious that he should have copied Bidens Basement strategy. It was a smart move to limit anything that could hurt the campaign.

Two weeks to go and the campaign let that happen. This is one of the biggest races in the nation. It was a bad decision because this will be talked about and top of mind for many voters come voting day; unless OZ has another vile story come out about him before.

Cool man, if you're not intentionally doing it then don't worry about it.
Sounds good. And I’ll try and be more aware of this.

It’s been hard to keep track of the threads since so many seem to be devolving into the same arguments. How many threads do we have making fun of the “Democrat party”, bitching about gas prices, and blasting Biden for his gaffes all while slobbering all over Trump?

This.

Most people do their "research" among the hordes on facebook and twitter, so yeah that's great. All the political parties care about is electability. The party itself will set the party-line, they do not care if someone is competent, just if they hit the right hot-buttons to get the vote. Hence Trump followed by Biden. Both incompetent, both hit the right hot-buttons (in Biden's case it was mostly the "I am not Trump" button of course), so both got elected. I suspect it won't get much better in the future, unfortunately. I wish we could just squash twitter and facebook and take them out of the political zeitgeist entirely.

@Al-O-Meter takes the brave stand that killing cancer is homicide.

Pregnant women should be charged with kidnapping, illegal imprisonment and unlawful detention of the person they are concealing inside their uterus without that individual's consent.

and dont forget. masturbation is also homicide.
probably only when women do it or something though. How about monthly periods are homicide. And of course misscarriages.

Lol of course I didn't know this. I live in utah. I dont vote in other states elections. I never even heard of the dude before. I only heard of Oz cause his tv show. I typically have no Idea who is running for what in other states. I barely know who is running for what in my own state. Im really not all that into politics. Pretty much trump stuff is about the only thing Im somewhat knowledgeable about.
