The Biden Administration and All Things Politics

Well **** me. I just found out that Fetterman had a stroke a few months ago. I don't find that very funny.

Full disclosure, I made some posts earlier making fun of Fetterman's response as posted in the twitter clip and I deleted them because I didn't realize that he had a stroke and my "jokes" could have reasonably been seen as making fun of him based on that.

While we’re going over 1 min clips, can we talk about this one? Party of small government, right? Why limit this to abortion? Why shouldn’t my wife tell our local politicians when she’s on her period or is experiencing cramps? Should I report every time I get a mole taken off? How about every time I eat too much pizza from The Pie and end up taking horrifically stinky dumps?

Once again not showing the full context of his statement. He is talking about abortion laws through the state, not national by having women and doctors consult with lawmakers in making laws.

Do you ever try to be honest when posting?

He was a heart surgeon, right? The ****ing liar acts like he's been in the room with women making abortion decisions? Like women go to their heart surgeon to discuss their pregnancies.

Thanks for the context, I hadn't realized he exposed his phony *** once again when answering that question.

He didn’t say that. He just said he was in rooms that had difficult conversations happening and doesn’t want the federal government in those decisions. He did not say in rooms with abortion decisions.

I don’t even like Dr Oz but you’re making me defend him. Never really liked the guy and after reading about the dog abuse, I have no good feelings left about him.

Yeah I mean I already admitted I leaned too far on that making assumptions about what he was saying.

Oh weird. So we shouldn’t base our opinions on candidates on 20 second out of context clips? What a concept.

It feels a little disingenuous that those who worship Trump and have no qualms with Herschel Walker are now suddenly concerned that a man recovering from a stroke struggled in a tv debate with a celebrity tv star. As if Trump has ever been coherent in the last 5 years?

I don’t think we really need a debate to know who the better candidate is. One believes in democracy, has worked in the legislative process before, and lives in PA and the other is a NJ tv celebrity who got bored and now wants to rubber stamp any Republican attack on our democracy.

Which one will stand up for democracy and which one will merely go along with his party to empower whatever authoritarian comes out of the GOP?

Cmon now. We can’t be this broken, right?

Wait why should abortion involve politicians, local or federal at all? Why not just return the protections of Roe v Wade? It seemed to be working for most Americans, right?

Except for all those that just knew that people out there were getting abortions, and it was wrong that other people had choices, so they had to take it down. I mean, isn't it bad enough that a majority of them are poor, now we have them killing babies!! Not on my watch!!

This is how I see one side of this debate, it is a lot like the trunk people ads from interdimensional cable from Rick and Morty. It is just that ridiculous.

Here you go. Interesting that in this fictionalized scenario, the ad AGAINST the trunk people is paid for by a rich guy who isn't a trunk person and the ad FOR the trunk people is paid for by the people affected. Not at all like real life, right?

Because by definition it is homicide and we as a society should have a say over it. As you are always crying over muh democracy, I find it interesting how demonstrably fake those cries are in light of you wanting to exclude the legislators (the most democratic branch in the entire government) from enacting the will of the people.
