Because Trump was literally doing and saying everything to downplay the virus and pass Kook cures so that he’d be re-elected. He was intimidating the CDC and FDA to forego vaccine testing and give the vaccines the go-ahead before the election NOT TO HELP prevent transmission but so he could brag about developing a vaccine prior to the election to boost his re-election. This has been widely reported by the Wash Post and NY Times in 2020 and has been included in various books by Phil Rucker, Susan Glasser, and David Baker since. Reading is good!

Did you like miss the Mueller report, 1st impeachment, and all those health press conferences he did where he suggested it would go away by Easter or we try malaria treatments or inject disinfectant?
