The Biden Administration and All Things Politics

No, the main point was that we wouldn't even know if he hadn't reported it. You know, the thing I led with, not the BTW part in the middle.
My opening post:
“I see the difference here being that Biden “cooperated”.”

I think we both are talking about the same thing. When the lawyers found the documents, they reached out to NARA and worked with them.

That’s not the real issue. It’s that he had the classified documents in the first place. If Trump “cooperated” the same way as Bidens team, it wouldn’t be viewed as bad as it was.

Again, I don’t think anything will happen to Biden. The Republicans will try to make it look bad just for politics and show and it will end up just being a waste of time.

You mean if he had told them about it literally the day they discovered it and turned them over immediately?

And at the same time the Left saying it is a big deal to have classified documents. Does the VP have declassifying powers? That was Trump's defense; Biden can't use that as his. Like Gandalfe said, its a tad concerning that it took 2 months before the public knew. They knew about it before the election... Is it really that hard for you to criticize your own party.
I dunno, does the VP have declassifying powers? What if Biden just mentally declassified them, like Trump did? I just know that I’ve been assured many times by right wingers on this site that it’s not big deal when former presidents steal classified data and don’t cooperate. But I guess now it’s a big deal if current presidents have classified documents and cooperate? I’m confused. A consistent answer from your ilk is needed.

If Biden committed a simple mistake and cooperated with government officials, then why bring this up?

You know this answer. You’re trying to discount the this important fact, that the VP cannot declassify.

Is the crime cooperation? No, it’s mishandling information. Once again trying to play defense for your side.

You said it’s a simple mistake. Taking classified information is a crime. I said the difference is cooperating. I also said POTUS has declassifying powers and the VP doesn’t, so Biden cannot use that as his defense.

Again why is it so hard for you to go after the left? You personally tell everyone the right is the worst and you post when one of them say or do something stupid or wrong. Yet you play defense and downplay the situation when it’s happening on the left. It’s a relieving feeling when you are not tied to a side and can be honest about situations.

I don’t know what elected officials can and cannot do after the last few years. Blow off subpoenas, recommend lysol infections and flashlights up the *** to cure Covid, declassify documents on Hannity, and demand state authorities commit voter fraud or else you’ll wage an insurrrection at the Capitol. Apparently that’s all fine and legal. It’s either been excusing by the right or admired by the right.

But one thing I heard when Trump’s malfeasance was discovered that mistakes sometimes happen and cooperation helps. The government does afford elected and formerly elected officials grace for committing mistakes vs lying and obstruction of Justice. Although, since nothing has happened to Trump, maybe there isn’t any difference anymore? So I don’t know what the crime would be since Trump hasn’t been prosecuted with anything. Is having or stealing or lying about classified documents still a crime? Perhaps Biden should’ve told the government that he had returned all the classified information (when he hadn’t) and left it in an insecure room at his Florida golf resort? Could he go onto Maddow right now and de-classify them mentally??? I’m just using your own logic here.

My pt is, this is a nothingburger. I get that after a disappointing midterm and an embarrassing House fight, you’d love to turn the attention onto this nothing story that’ll maybe work for two news cycles. Don’t worry, I’m sure there will be a debt ceiling fight, non-existent school curriculum, or some panic over brown people that you can bash Biden over soon. It’s just silly to get too upset over this story. Especially when Trump hasn’t faced any consequences.

When you want to know how to grow a tomato, ask a farmer/gardener. When you want to know how to change your spark plugs ask an auto mechanic. When you want to know how to build a deck ask a carpenter.

When you want to know where to find child porn... who ya gonna call?
You'd call an educator, a person who has put so much effort into being around other people's children that it is their profession.

What about, what about, what about. All these topics have been thoroughly discussed. Just more deflecting.

This was my point from the start. But taking classified documents is not a mistake. You know what you are doing.

Although, since nothing has happened to Trump, maybe there isn’t any difference anymore? So I don’t know what the crime would be since Trump hasn’t been prosecuted with anything. Is having or stealing or lying about classified documents still a crime?
Yes, it’s still a crime even though they will probably not do anything about it.
Perhaps Biden should’ve told the government that he had returned all the classified information (when he hadn’t) and left it in an insecure room at his Florida golf resort? Could he go onto Maddow right now and de-classify them mentally??? I’m just using your own logic here.
What logic did I use? I said the POTUS has the ability to declassify information and the VP can’t. You’re trying to make hollow and ignorant comparison which doesn’t do anything for this conversation. You complain about sincerity of the other person debating and you do exactly what you complain about.

My response from the mid terms. Not disappointed or embarrassed. I was actually excited:
I thought it was a great night. It looks like and I hope congress is split. If the Republicans take the house by a small margin, then hopefully they would realize it would be political suicide to have revenge hearings towards people on the left. It would also create the right to have a small voice and can have a little push back.
If they start on the pointless hearings then they deserve to loose in the next election.
I’m happy Oz and Boebert lost. It shows that people will vote out the fringe. I’m pumped that DeSantis is still my Governor. Just a good overall night.

Obviously, we found out later that Boebert ended up winning. So I wasn’t happy about that.

Can’t stop yourself from putting a “racist” comment in your post.

Again not upset, I have already stated that I don’t care about it. I have also stated I don’t believe anything will happen to Biden. The post was pointed to the hypocrisy in Politics.

Still, my question to you, which you keep avoiding, is why is so hard for you to bash someone on your political side?

There's a difference between sloppiness and malfeasance. Sounds like Biden's issue was the former while Trump's is the latter. Of course, I'm not sure if there truly is anymore since Trump hasn't been prosecuted for anything. Besides, isn't this par for the course since RWers like yourself have been calling Biden senile and incompetent since before he even took the WH?

It's cute that you think extremists in the House will actually pull things to the right. Creating larger deficits seems to be the opposite of fiscal responsibility.

Besides, none of this matters as I'm a single issue voter, muh liberal judges. Anything and everything is excusable as long as I get muh judges.

The numbers seem pretty small considering there are over 300K kids in the system.

The SAU was, and remains, the only independent investigative body in the nation with jurisdiction over a broad range of sexual misconduct complaints and related allegations involving K–12 school-based staff and students.

Good thing that swim coaches don't suffer the same scrutiny, right?
