2023 NBA Draft Megathread

I was thinking about whether would I prefer GG to Collins. Trading for Collins means we have his contract but if we drafted GG we wouldn't have his contract. I am not comparing or comping players was just thinking out loud. Collins seems like more of a sure thing as draft picks can be a crap shoot but I think I would prefer to have the potential and less payout. I think GG would fit very well next to Kessler and Markkanen

of course, there is the potential of getting some assets back in the collins trade or dumping a player like Gay.

I think he is pretty similar athletically to Larmarcus Aldridge when he first got to the spurs. Not very explosive but moves really well. Seeing some of these mocks with him in the late 20's is insane to me. The guy should be a late lottery pick. His skillset is useful for every team in this era.
Nahhhh,

I would not compare him athletically to guys who are 260+ and primarily operate off 1-2 dribbles.

Athletically he's a bigger Trey Lyles. He's one of those guys you could see 4 years from now and you are surprised by how athletic he is. He's got a lot of physical maturing to do and that could come with better balance/more overall athleticism.

Emoni Bates scored 29 straight points for EMU against Toledo. He finished with 43 points on 15/23 shooting.

Seems like there are some interesting wings for us this year in the late lottery / mid first and late first.

Late lottery:
Jarace Walker
Jett Howard
GG Jackson
Keyonte George

Late 1st:
Leonard Miller
Sidy Cissoko
Julian Strawther
Ricky Council

Not watching, but Hendricks/Walker are both having good games against each other right now.
Not able to watch it but saw Tay’s (that’s what I call him now. You should all try it) block against a 2:1 fast break. That’s a daaaawwwwg!

No “business decisions” here. Love him.

Also watching GG against FL.

My god SC is atrocious and they are getting slaughtered. BUT, honestly pretty impressed by GG in a game like this.

Still really engaged, showing great help defense (they need all the help they can get, huzah!), moving the ball on some assists showing awareness, and athleticism.

Came away more impressed than I have been. A lot of maturity for a young kid on a **** team, in a blow out game.
