Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I dont know, short of selling away ALL of the good vets, and never playing the Finnisher Kessler or any of the vets coming to the Jazz in trades, which there would have to be, at all this season, might get us into a stones throw of the top 8 . It is to late imo to expect it anyway. Injuries or Finnish military responsibilies I guess could help. Beyond that we can trade JC Mike Vander and Sexton and still be in the late lottery not the top 8
#8 right now is the Wizards who we are two games ahead of. #5 is the Magic, who we are five games ahead of. anything lower is impossible, but there is a ton of room to drop down. Many of those teams between us and those spots will be trying until the end too. If they go for it, the Jazz could get pretty low.

me too... any tank relies on moving Mike imo. I think Mike might have a solid market now... but I think he also could have value this summer as an expiring.

Beasley's value is as high as it will ever be imo... cash in now if you aren't planning on him being a long term piece.

Yeah, losing Mike would definitely help us lose a lot of games the rest of the season.

It is simply amazing to me that teams like the Pelicans, Kings, and Wolves struggle so hard and so long to get into the playoffs and the friggen" Jazz will likely make the playoffs while attempting to suck. Culture shouldn't be a thing, and yet. . .
ain't gonna go full culture here but it does make me laugh. These teams try so hard and we are like "we might win we might lose whatevs" and we end up in a similar place.

We've been fortunate to have really good coaches with Sloan, Quin, and now Hardy.

I was super excited for Beasley earlier in the season but reality is he’s a great high volume three-point shooter but that is about it. With the young guards we have on the roster I’d rather them get the minutes.
The difference between someone like Beasley and someone like Kennard is variance. Both might give you a 15 point average, but Beasley will give between 5 and 30. While Kennard will give you 12 to 18. Sometimes there is value in the former if you have scoring stability elsewhere in the lineup.

We would have to trade both Conley and Clarkson to take a dip in the standings in my opinion. If we traded Conley only then I don’t see us getting that much worse.

I wish we were on the better end of Beasley’s variance more often but he’s only scored more than 19 points 1 time in the last 20 games.

2.7 assists/1.8 turnovers per game...
Per minute that is much better than the little he played last year. I didn't say he's great there... I said he has grown there. Doing that while being an extremely efficient decent volume scorer is good.

He's 5 assists per game as a starter in 30 minutes a night... so his role and usage swings a little in there. Still has a long ways to go if he wants to be Mike Conley... but he doesn't need to be that good. Just keep making slight improvements.
