I'm wondering if they are also waiting Toronto's next move. The team missing out on OG or FVV him might end up overpaying for Conley, JC, Vando or Beasley (hello Lakers, Clippers, Knicks, Suns, Pelicans, etc)

Basically it feels like they are saying "chill... KD gonna ball out for us this season then we move him to Phoenix... everyone do your business accordingly".

They should sell off the assets individually to get a better return. KD will take every draft pick from whatever team they trade him to.
 
Also on draft night you can see where teams land and make a deal to get a top 5 pick if there are interested teams up there... Toronto may only sell off a couple parts until they see what happens with KD.
