Woj: Jazz agree to 3-team trade with Lakers and Timberwolves

It must be said, this Lakers pick is likely going to go higher than any pick we got for Rudy or Don even with the protections.

Ainge set a high standard for his trade packages. We’re better off now than we were a couple hours ago….just not a fleecing.

Hard to know what was available out there. Conley is a negative contract…Beasley and Vando were worth a highly protected first each if you are being very generous. Lakers pick is probably better than the picks package we would have gotten for those two combined, but maybe we would have gotten some imperfect players/bad salary back.

NAW and two seconds hurts a bit, hopefully one is fake, but I’m very high on NAW and it’s silly to stress over these spare parts. Overall it’s positive, but underwhelming because of the high standard Ainge has set.

We got fleeced a bit. I see it as Karma for us fleecing Minnesota out of their future.
At least we didn’t have to give any of those picks or swaps back/out to get a deal done. DA needs to start stocking up on 2nd rounders though. He’s giving them away like he’s DL.

The Lakers got D'Lo, Beasley, and Vando for 1 pick lmfao.

I know it's a good deal for Utah, but damn, Lakers got a lot. Just seems really flagrant the Jazz had to be the ones to include (2) second rounders to get Minnesota on board.

I know those 2nds probably amount to jack **** picks in the 50's, but it's the principle.

Yep, they're definitely going to make the play-in tournament. They might even win a round in the playoffs if they bag the 7-seed. Whoohoo!
I think Malik and an energy guy like Vando are exactly what LAL needed. DLo is underwhelming imo but he's not a terrible player by any means

The only thing I like about this trade is it might get rescinded if medicals of any players involved are an issue. all have medical issues

Seems like we could have done this deal at the start of the season and been in the top 5 for Wemby.

The whole idea of holding out was that we would improve the stock on these guys to get slightly better return and that didnt happen.

Glad we did it overall, but I'm not doing backflips.

Best thing is that hopefully this trade makes GM's less scared to deal with Danny. Got to remember this was the guy willing to give up 5 1st rounders for Justice Winslow.
Pretty much feel the same way. I'm glad it's done because it really sets us up for the tank but this is 2 straight trades where I think Ainge got a mediocre return. Hopefully the pick is at least protected for multiple years and not simply 27 and then done.

So let's be optimistic, say the Lakers finish 20-7 from here and finish the season with 45 wins. So what?
