2023 NBA Draft Megathread

GG is the most raw of the low floor high upside prospects in the lottery conversation. There is nothing safe about him at all. But short of the interview process killing his stock further, there is enough there for some org to pull the trigger, unless Miller skips his interviews

buzelis is overrated. just not that good. but Isaiah Collier is for real. best player i've seen in the class so far.
I think DA is either a little bit of a contrarian or he likes to deceive. Him stating he actually likes the 2024 draft more than 23… while holding three picks in 2023 and owing a pick in 2024 is kinda funny. I just don’t buy much of DAs public comments… some treat them as gospel… the narrative on the 2024 draft will develop over the next 12 months but it sounds like it’s not great. Which may present an opportunity to buy in at a low price if you disagree.

Danny is not intentionally decieving the media, but he does do a good job of not answering the questions, that would be at all telling to what his true intentions are smh

I just watched this. SO much to like but also a lot of glaring "rawness". I also think Ausar is being slept on.
It's probably the most half-court filled game highlights I've seen from an OTE game.

The shot looks fine to me. Hard to believe he will be a truly awful shooter.

agreed about ausar. if some of the draft honks are right, you may be able to get the same player (or better) in Ausar 7 or 8 spots lower than amen. simply a better value. not sure there is a great argument amen is really even better than ausar at all, let alone several spots higher.

scoring is about even, assists are about even, rebounding advantage goes to ausar, three point shooting goes to ausar (ausar takes more and has a better percentage) and i think he's a better defender. amen has a significantly better FG%. in terms of size and athleticism they are clones. they are about as even as you can get - so if you can get one of them 8 spots lower, the value is just so much better.

His shot doesn't look bad so if he is willing to put in the work then you would expect him to at least become a serviceable outside shooter and that is all he needs to really open up the rest of his game. In the open court he is going to be special.

Agreed. I'm not really seeing much of a difference between the 2. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if Ausar becomes the better player. There is a good chance he ends up in a better situation as well where he isn't asked to do as much early on and can focus on becoming great at a few things while refining his game.
