Didn't say anything about starting. You can be a core piece while playing off the bench.
Also, any player you bring in from the G League on a 10 day deal is obviously a long shot to stick in the league. That applies to Dunn as well. It's no accident he's been toiling in basketball purgatory for a while. There's just no market for his brand of ball-dominant, non-shooting PG play these days.
I guess the question is, what are we trying to do? What is Dunn's purpose? He's not a future asset, and it's laughable to suggest he's some kind of a final piece to a make-the-playoffs puzzle this season.
It's just weird.
