I met Kemp in person at the utah summer league at east high school when he had just been drafted straight out of high school. He was one of my favorites of all time. Sad how far the Rainman has fallen.

Odd. Interesting that he's back in Washington. I went and looked at his numbers and was surprised by two things: 1) he was the 17th pick. I would have guessed higher... and 2) he only had one season where he scored >20ppg. My perception of him in the 90s was a superstar. Not saying he wasn't, but all his years in Seattle he never hit 20 ppg and I would have thought for sure he was 20+ that whole time.

Yeah, but he averaged 17+ for a ton of seasons and performed big in the playoffs.

Its a pun. The Cure is the 80s rockband (Robert Smith is the lead) and its actually coming to SLC and its also a reference to fixing Lonzo.
