Danny Ainge has made some notorious moves making/attempting big bets near the top of the draft....particularly on wings. Little recap:

Jason Tatum: Trades DOWN behind two can't miss PG prospect who were the strong consensus #1 and #2 picks in the draft.

Jaylen Brown: A controversial selection at #3 with Kris Dunn, Dragan Bender, and Buddy Hield left on the board. This was an unclear selection in what was considered a two man draft at the top.

Justise Winslow: Tried to trade the farm for Justise only to be saved by MJ and the great white hope Frank "The Tank" Kaminsky.

Obviously the Jazz have a large war chest and Danny likes to zero in on his favorite player. Question is, will he do it this draft and who will it be for? Here are the prospects not listed in the other thread:

Wemby: Ain't happening
Scoot: Is he gettable if the wrong team is on the clock?
Miller: What if the team on the clock watched too much March Madness?
Cam: Would this surprise anyone? Very much fits the mold.
Amen: Superhuman athlete, abysmal shooting, strange competition.
Ausar: Less athletic and skilled twin, but not as abysmal shooting.
Jarace: Versatile tank.

I'd love to hear thoughts on this.

DA aint trading Ocahi unless it cause he is moving up to pick Hawkins lol he also aint trading Sexton so he can have the priv of drafting better defensive player that cannot shoot running his offense.
Y'all on crack if you think we draftin Wallace or Black smh
maybe at 19 not 9

Yes... but it won't be with the #9 pick (our pick) it will be with the Minny pick. We come out the draft with Wallace or Black and Tay Henny.. Book it.

He will use a future pick or Ochai as the trade ballast.

I think the nature of this draft is going to make for an exciting draft night. There are a lot of guys in large groupings, it will be eye of the beholder. Teams will want to trade up for their guy and other teams will be willing to trade down thinking they will get their guy or be indecisive and want another team to make the decision for them.

I could see that.

I definitely think Ainge is the kind of person who will zero in on a prospect and make sure we get him. Whether it's possible to trade up or not, and for who that would be for, I don't know.

I don't see us trading into the top 4 where guys like Scoot, Miller and likely Amen are selected. I could see us trading into the 5-7 range for a guy like Walker or Whitmore.

Yes. Feels like they are in a unique position to trade up ala the 2013 draft. 10 year anniversary, you just hope your are passing on right to draft Shabazz "give me the ball" Muhammad and not the next Giannis and not drafting need over BPA.

I could see it for Ausar, Amen, or Cam... if the price was fairly cheap. I don't get Walker for us.

If Charlotte ends up 4th I could see a trade where we send Ochai, a future first, and #9 to the Hornets for #4. Maybe KO ends up in the deal.

Not sure who he will do it for but I think he will trade up on draft day. I hope so. The value of the stockpile is not getting a huge amount of number 1 picks, it is getting the few you really want.

The Jazz won't bring 3 1st round pick rookies in. I'd bet 2 are traded. Either a star or moving up.

I would honestly be really excited to end up with any of those guys, though I think I would be less excited about Ausar than the rest.

I actually think Jarace would be a pretty good fit. I kind of like the idea of putting him next to Lauri and Kessler and just having a really big, long athletic frontcourt.

That’s why I kinda love the 8th pick, tbh. Probably a Thompson or Cam and I don’t know who I’d pick of the three.

The defense is great... its the shooting that is the problem.

If we trade up it better be for one of Scoot or Miller otherwise either trade up using the wolves 76ers pick or use all three to build the roster. I believe in the talent in this draft.
