Dick would probably be a Gordon Hayward type and probably is a better player than Black. But the stupid effect on the Internet/Twitter crowd. Another white player, plus that name just makes the jokes write themselves....ugh...

Gradey is one of the few guys that provides a high floor / high ceiling combo. Even if he never develops as a creator or playmaker he's Reggie Bullock but if he develops more to his game he can be somewhere between Bojan / Hayward.

Hawkins is a better on ball guard but shot at the rim less frequently (21% / 24%) and is a worse finisher (54% / 64%). Not sure how you can say he projects better as a playmaker when he has the ball in his hands more than D!ck does and only averaged 1.3 AST / 1.4 TO this year. Also not sure how calling someone that is a career 39% shooter from the field in the Big East inefficient is a weak argument.

Give me the guy that's bigger, more athletic, that shot better in a better conference, and is two years younger.

Hawkins is the best shooter in the nba that comes out of this draft - **** his stats in college. Ochai is not enough of a reason to pass up a future superstar.
Dick could become a Klay type, if absolutely everything goes right. it wont

lol Grady Dick is not even remotely the loose moving high iq do it all prospect that Gordy was. The Dick has no perceivable path to stardom without years of playing 3rd fiddle to some actual players. His shooting % are impressive in a vacuum but beyond that he aint got **** going for him.

what makes you think he wont be gone before 9? If any gm's see him as the prospect that so many on here do, No chance Hendricks is available at 9.
But he probably will be there, and so will better options for most orgs.

I’m concerned that Hawkins doesn’t have the athleticism, strength, and aggressiveness to warrant a lottery pick. Have you seen him drive and finish in traffic in the paint? Do you see him demanding the ball? Other than shoot catch and shoot 3s off a pick, what does he do? Defend? Rebound? Create for others? He’s mostly invisible with the exception of a few short bursts of 3s in these college games being defended by smaller players than in the nba.

We should maximize on the length available in this draft. Having positionless players that can do multiple things is the future of the NBA. I’m concerned that Hawkins just can’t do enough.

Dick could potentially be like a bigger Hornacek. There's quite a bit to his game if he can unlock it. He's got some handle. He's aggressive driving the ball. He's got touch on floaters. He can make basic reads. He can run a break.
