I completely get this sentiment. However, he is such a huge talent. If we could get him with the assets we have and hold onto our key players, a core of Luka, Lauri and Kessler is pretty damn strong, there is no doubt. You would have to at least consider the options there.
I think that we'd have to give up too much to get him. I don't want to go all in on someone who I perceive needs more that 20+ shots every night to get his and is absolutely selfish. I know I'm in the minority when I say that, but the price for Luka would be too high based on the ROI IMO. I just don't see him being a key cog on any championship. Just my opinion...

Luka is much more liked by his peers than most NBA superstars. I mean he isnt Durant level popular but Durant has some more mileage and thus fandom.

The image of him being selfish baby comes from his on court antics that anyone who has watched enough soccer has developed a tolerance for.

That being said, he is far from perfect as he is a defensive liability just like Trae.
We're not talking about soccer, this is basketball. His antics on the court are just infantile. His complaining is so over the top that it overshadows what talent he does have...

Its a cultural thing that has little to do with the type of team sport played. I play floorball in a casual workplace team with one italian-born guy and he acts the exact same way trying to win every call, but is still a great guy.

Just because most slovenian people do that stuff doesnt make them a nation of a-holes.

I'm not saying he's an a-hole, I'm saying that his antics do not help his cause, nor his play. Regardless of where he's from, he needs to realize that and accommodate.
And regardless, he's still a black hole...

I dont know if they help or not but they dont make him a worse player. He still is a 30/9/8 guy. Aslo while I understand the black hole concerns.. I'd like to point out that JC is worse as a black hole (not only passes less, assists less but also scores with lower efficiency). Yes, JC passes less. In fact both are -12 on passes made vs passes received but JC's percentage is much worse since Luka touches the ball way more.

They dont have a system like we do in Dallas, so its hard to say how he would adapt to Hardy's style but at the very least he is a GIGANTIC upgrade over JC.

Agree he is an upgrade over JC, but at what cost? We have to remember though, their roles are completely different as well. JC is not the point man running the team, nor is he a "superstar." I agree that JC is as much of a black hole as Luka, but with the divergent roles, Luka's shows up much more than JC IMO because he does touch the ball more.

BTW, I thought that the Jazz should've traded JC at the deadline. Now they'll lose him for nothing.
