I was thinking they were maybe rewarding him for being a good soldier and sitting out to help the tank when he was probably chomping at the bit to get in games at the end of the season.
Larsens explanation makes more sense though.

It wasn’t for real… was just like a thought… but sounds like dude has been working… I just like those types because they will get every ounce of their potential as a player.

Oh for sure. I mean the most obviously awesome skill about sexton is his drive/passion/attitude. He oozes hard work and desire on the court. Dude loves playing basketball. Tons of positive energy and passion. That is something that cant really be coached or taught into a guy. Either have it or dont. So glad Sexton has it and thats why, for me, he is a keeper. Plus I think that though it cant be coached or taught into a player I do think that playing with a guy like sexton and having a guy like him in the locker room can rub off on his teammates. Which is a good thing.
Many posters talk about trading him and never include him in the "keepers" list with lauri and kessler (and to a lesser extent, ochai) but he is one of my keepers.
 
Okay, so you know the “team 49” thing they tried to hype? I thought, hey, maybe there’s something here that if I ran the tankathon simulator that if we hit #1 on that last spin, that it was meant to be. So I clicked and counted out to 49 and… it wasn’t us. Then I had an epiphany that our draft pick would actually be starting on a new era of Jazz basketball at team 50, so I did one more spin. It also wasn’t us.

I got #1 within 20 tries, and top 4 about six or seven times. I believe. . .
