I said I'll pick 10 Utah wins as long as we also bet on 10 BYU wins.

As a third-party poster who does not give two ****s about college football, this proposition makes absolutely zero sense Salty. I figured that you might be filtering out the others remarks because they have a history of humiliating your or something, but I honestly cannot fathom why BYU is being factored into this bet when really, everyone is predicting how good Utah will be next year.

You'd lose the bet because you didn't know what the heck you were talking about when you called me a homer for predicting no more than 2 losses. Yes, you may have got lucky and ended up with the right answer. But this isn't about getting lucky and ending up with the right answer. It's about if there is any logic and reasoning for you calling me a homer, or if you just do it to be cool with the rest of the haters.

This works both ways. If you are so knowledgable you should be able to tell us who the wins are against and who the potential losses are likely to be. To argue that this onus does not fall on you makes you the homer you claim not to be. As you point out, anyone can make a random prediction and without specifics you are just pulling numbers out of your ***.

So, let me make sure I understand:
Salty wants to bet one of two things. Either Utah doesn't lose more than two games (which he'll bet right now), but the other party has to pick the exact three games they'll lose, or he bets they'll go undefeated (but he want to wait until they hire a new OC).
Salty won't take the opposite of the first bet. He won't pick the ten or eleven games Utah will win. He just want to say they'll win. If the other person won't specify which games they lose, no bet.
Yup, sounds about right for Salty. He'll only do things his way, no highway option.


Tell you what Salty. I'll bet you $50 right here and now that Utah doesn't go undefeated next season. I don't care if God Himself comes down to be the OC. They will not go undefeated. I'll even give you the option to cancel the bet based on one injury throughout the year. You don't need to name the injury right now. You can name it after it happens. Any player, any game. You name the injury after it happens, and starting the next game, the bet is off. Deal?

Boy you BYU fans sure do liek to make up your own version of reality. That is not how the situation is...

To clarify:
I am sick of being called a homer by a bunch of clowns who don;t know jack about college football. So I predicted no more than 2 losses. And all the clowns that liek to call me a homer, can jump all over it. But they should be prepared to demonstrate their own knowledge when they do.

I said I'll be happy to pick 3 BYU losses at the same time. And fi I am picking Utah wins, then I'll be happy to do that too as long as the hater picks 10 BYU wins. And we each take our team in the head to game. This prevents ties, allows us to bet on the rivalry game, and evens the odds a bit since BYU has a much easier schedule.

But no, I am not refusing to take the opposite of the bet. I will gladly take it.

The bet is about seeing who really knows what they pretend to know. BYU was brought in because most of these haters are BYU fans.

We're not predicting how well Utah does this year, that's where you're wrong. We're seeing who really knows what they're talking about and who doesn't.

I predict no more than 2 losses.
Some jackass who like to always call me a homer uses it as ammo.
I then ask him to show me where I am wrong, without just blindly throwing out a guess.
Haters don't like this because they know they aren't able to point out where I am wrong. They were hoping to get the odds far enough in their favor where they could blindly guess and get lucky.

And when the haters complain about the deck being stacked against them, I offered to take the exact same bet, but with their BYU team and me making the predictions. That evens the deck. Both of our favorite teams, both of us making predictions.

You have very succinctly stated you do not believe Utah will win 10 games.

Like I said, I will list my 10 wins. But you have to list your 10 BYU wins too. Which should be much easier, since they play a much crappier schedule. And we have to take our teams in the head to head. That way there are no ties and it keeps the rivalry interesting. And that shouldn't be a problem, since you already said you think BYU has a better than average chance to win.
