Great point... the were Sexton rumors before it made any sense.

Yeah, this is another one that points to Ainge actually having long-term plans for Sexton at the time. When I'm thinking about it... I am actually closer to doubting that report now than believing it. Not that he's some untouchable player for us, but I doubt we are actively shopping him.... unless there are negative things about him behind the scenes.
 
The situation where we trade Sexton is if there is something really good on the table... and we know JC wants to come back and is on a better value deal. If Dallas offered the 10th pick that's the type of deal I could see us doing.

Yeah, if it’s just Sexton for 10 but not Sexton and 16.

Exactly, the revisionist history is getting a little crazy.
 
JC's player option deadline is on the 29th, something to keep an eye out for. GTJ unexpectedly opted in, the market is not good for FA's.
