2023 NBA Draft Megathread

I think Washington is likely going to take Bilal at #8. Black will be gone. Ausar will be gone. Wizards might rate Bilal on par with Ausar anyway, and it's less likely the Wizards will draft Kobe Bufkin now that they've just traded for Jordan Poole. See if the betting odds move strongly towards Bilal going at #8.

If the Jazz want Bilal, they'll need to trade up to #7 for him, imo.

Edit: Bilal is now the betting favorite to go #8 if Black is off the board.

Fo sho! As long as the process is sound I'm cool.
For real, what the **** was that dude doing? Thank god he nailed one of the bigs and one of the combo guards but Jesus. I was pulling out my hair hoping we'd ever even try to draft a wing or a forward and the closest thing we ever got was Trey ****ing Lyles.

So with Tyus Jones and now Poole, are the Wizards still in on Black? At some point fit has to matter, right? Black could be point forward I guess?

On second thought... that kinda makes a lot of sense.

This is your best if/then thing... go ahead and write off Bufkin to wiz.

Tyus doesn't change their draft... one year deal and I'd be surprised if he ends the season on the wiz.

I think the Wiz kinda know Black ain't gonna be there at 8... but if he was they would still pick him.

Jazz may be able to draft one of Black, Walker or Bilal, but they can only have one of them and all three likely require a trade-up scenario. They may be slated to go 6, 7 and 8, respectively.

It's possible that Indiana will take Hendricks at 7 and that will let Walker slide to 9. However, the betting favorite at #9 is now Hendricks, while Walker is the favorite at #7.

Jazz need to trade up, or they'll probably be choosing between Hendricks and Whitmore at 9.

The good news, if there is any, is that Detroit can be more confident that they can trade back to #9 and get Hendricks or Whitmore there. The question is how drawn they are to Ausar.
