I argued against this **** with OTE and I'll argue against it with this too. Don't blame you being wrong on a league. Talent is talent. You can either identify it or you can't. If something about a league tricked you (these leagues do tend to have their separate styles of play and if you understand that and actually know the league you can make more informed decisions/analysis, but those aren't static conditions you can base off a draftee that got picked 5 years ago), figure it out and do better next time.

Whether he busts or fails, I will remember these stupid arguments and have a laugh. This French League stuff is almost as funny as making up fake box scores lol.

You didn’t even know Hayes played in the French League bro… the kids table is to the left there. It’s getting full with Eddie Zero, Cy and KqWIN but I’m sure they can squeeze you in.

You're right, the reason why we overrated Killian Hayes at draft time is that he happened to play in the French league a year earlier. If he had not played in France a year earlier he would have never been drafted that high :D

At the end of the day, what do Bilal and Frank/Hayes have to do with each other because they are French? They are not similar players and they were not drafted high for the same reasons. It's simply not a basketball argument, and as much as I like Bilal it's not hard at all to make a basketball argument against him. If you're stooping to "French league poison" stuff it feels deeply unserious.

You aren't just looking for busts though... you are looking for hits no? If there aren't a lot of prospects coming from the league and the ones that do are being drafted too high... like that gets zero of your thinking? But like if Bilal isn't on Wemby's team how high does he go in the draft? If Bilal had played at Arkansas last year what does his season look like? I think he's a fine prospect but NBA teams may have gotten a bit ahead of themselves.

Either way... no judgement can be passed based on summer league performance.... well... I mean if he had put up 20-25 pts per game and was shooting well there would be some taking a victory lap no doubt... but based on what he has showed I'd be slightly lower on him personally. Just like I'd be higher on Keyonte because he popped.

It comes down to this for me... if some are going to slobber over a highlight of him making an awesome block and missing a basic pull up jumper... then its okay for some to point to his numbers sucking and other similar bodied type prospects are producing at higher levels.

You can die on the Sekou Doumbouya 2.0 hype train man I really don’t care. You go harder for him than any of our own players lmao. It gets tired repeatedly bashing your head in about stuff. Our "lottery tickets" from the Minnesota trade have already started producing.
