Alta High's oldest teacher retiring

The point is, those schools in the southeast portion of the valley have changed drastically as their populations have changed. Hillcrest, Brighton, Alta, and Jordan used to all be huge schools with some really competitive extra curricular programs. Now? It’s a bit more spotty as young and growing have shifted to south and west.

Not to mention Skyline with their "recruiting" back in the day...

Bravo Corner Canyon. I wish them success. I fully support the ability to 'choice-in' to schools providing a higher level of service to students and their parents.

All throughout the 90s, my dad was in a baseball league that played at those Kearns fields. Was there all the time. I think my sister lived out there when she was first married, back in early 2000s. Somewhere by the oval.

I played little league in Kearns. Kearns American. I can’t recall exactly where the fields were, but I know they’re long gone now. I remember practicing not too far from Kearns High and Kearns Jr. High. My little brother lives in the boundaries for Thomas Jefferson and Kearns High.

I’d be surprised if these are gone. They were full-sized fields, 2-3 of them, there was nothing around them at the time, so I don’t think they were that old (in the early 90s) and they were pretty nice. I’ll have to touch base with my dad on specific location and try to pull it up on google maps.
