Potential Trade Targets

Yep. He isn't anything special offensively and his defense has dropped off considerably over the last few years.

Yup, trading for Mikal will cost you a superstar package. In return, you get a guy who really should be a 15% USG player. He's basically exchanged a large part of his effectiveness on defense in favor of being a high volume, below average efficiency scorer who doesn't create for others.

I have to agree with this. He is really good, but is at the end of the day a #3-4 with a #1-2 price tag.

I know others have mentioned Avdija (particularly @Handlogten's Heros), but wondering what you all think a realistic price for him would be. His shooting is finally up this year and is doing as well, I suppose, as anyone could be expected to do on that Wizards team. Yesterday had the assignment of containing Trey Young -- and didn't do a bad job -- so I think his defense is probably still a key attribute.

Is he untouchable within the Wizards' rebuilding plans (more likely, probably), or is there enough overlap with Coulibaly that the Wizards could be persuaded to choose one over the other (my wishful thinking)?

We have the 4th hardest schedule left. But Phoenix is the hardest and Phoenix Lakers are just behind us.
By current winning percentage. We have already done most of our east coast road tripping, and still have a lot of cupcakes and home games left on the schedule. We also have a lot fewer back to backs in the future.

The hand-wringing about the "hard" schedule is getting ridiculous. This team has already shown they can beat anybody.

It feels like other fanbases going "Your schedule is too hard, just give up already and start the fire sale! We need your players!"

If Atlanta is willing to go full rebuild, I'm wondering if they'd discuss Jalen Johnson. I think the Jazz could make him work as a primary on-ball player, similar to the way they're using Kris Dunn.

I'm not used to this new version of you that is actually positive.

It has been mentioned that he is pretty much the only untouchable guy in Atlanta and rightly so based on his upside and age. If they are going full rebuild then it makes sense to keep him around and see if he can be a major building block for them. Hopefully Hendricks can turn into a Jalen Johnson caliber player.
