And grabbing McDermott would continue the collection of grabbing guys I had previously wanted but waaaay after I wanted them (Mark Jackson [hate to admit this], Jamaal Tinsley, Brevin Knight, Kris Dunn… I know there are many others). Now looking at it, all those guys have a lot in common. McDermott would stand alone as the only shooter amongst that group.

Murray would be more of a Dunn replacement in my eyes.

Yeah but he’s a guy you’re throwing on the floor for 10-15 minutes to shake things up or bringing in for an offensive play at the end of games. View him more as a kicker.

I think he could be a handful in the stuff we like to run with offball screens and such. We might indirectly open up some minutes if we trade KO.

Bottom line I dont see any reason to make a trade unless it's a perfect move.

I dont think Dejounte Murray is a perfect move.

He's going to negatively impact Sexton. He's going to make it harder to get Keyonte George minutes. And he just not all that good.

Vecenie has Murray being worth a first and a prospect. So for the jazz that would be Hendricks or Keyonte. I dont think Brice would qualify, but if a team was high on him pre-draft, maybe.

Brogdon is worth a late first.

I'd much rather pay the Brogdon price than Murray price.
