If you are talking, admittedly recent, history then I agree with your point. The Speaker of the House debacle was embarrassing for the entire United States government but for the GOP especially. It is a black eye that will take some time to recover from. If you are comparing the Senate to the House through all of 2023 then there is no contest that the House was a train wreck while the Senate only took a step backwards to make sure they didn't interrupt the GOP from destroying itself in broad view of the public.The House speakership chaos wasted 2023...
If talking the House now under Mike Johnson then we're going to have to agree to disagree. I'm not saying Mike Johnson is God's gift to governance but I think the big responsible players in the House are realizing the damage done and the gears are now greased like they haven't been for decades. Between the House and Senate now in 2024, it is the Senate that by comparison cannot get anything done.
