Don't worry, to his base that's martyrdom. Nothing stronger than a martyr. It's the primary reason the Mormon Church is so strong today.
Absolutely. I have no doubt you’re right. This is going to tighten the noose he has over Republican politicians and propagandists. His base will see this as a Democrat judge and 12 Democrat jurors working to hurt their lord and savior. The main thing is, accountability. And the side story is how this impacts swing voters. Can’t imagine this will help in the general election.

BTW, side note that’s something I’d like to see changed in the church. On one hand we tout being a forward looking church (eternal families and progression) but on the other hand we constantly play victims (look at how the pioneers were persecuted and now look at how we’re currently persecuted and mocked). I’d like to see less persecution complex and more of a focus on being a Christ like community.

Why should he get a venue change? He committed the crime there.

He’s not exactly subtle about this. He says the real verdict will be in November.

Well, I hope the country gives him the guilty verdict this fall!

Why are the Trump trolls so quiet right now? Are they too busy crying while holding their Trump bibles close to their chests?

I'm not a lawyer, either. I think it is because there are possible sentences that will not involve incarceration.
So is he going to be free to campaign and attack the judge and jury until he’s sentenced? Man, get those people security cuz MAGA is going to try and kill some of these people and harass their families. Not even joking. Give these people security and medals. To stand up to this pig and his murderous cult, it requires real courage.

Pretty funny. At least his orange jumpsuit will match his face lol

On a serious note tho there’s zero chance this will hold up on appeal. The actual legal case itself is a joke

Fun times ahead though. Good grief.

Uhhh, I think the fact that this was not a mixed verdict (34 individual counts) and came back relatively quickly means that the evidence was pretty strong.

What do you base your legal analysis on?

Holy ****!

Yeah but sentencing, 60 months probation and suspended sentence is my guess. Slippery ************.
And a fine
I agree. He won't see a jail cell. Hopefully the conviction sways enough independent voters and non maga Republicans to not vote for him and he stays out of the white house

Like I said earlier in this thread. This case was the most obviously guilty one of all. There was no doubt.

Not sure why you can't see it. Maybe your red hat is too low and covering your eyes?

The simple fact that he could kill a baby in front of a live audience and the Supreme Court(and you just know they'd take up the appeal) would reverse the conviction.
So why don’t we reform the court?

Seems like everyone now admits that the supreme court is a joke. So reforming it should be easier, right?

I’m not a lawyer, so does Trump’s *** rot in jail until his sentencing?
No chance of that. Trump would be elected in a landslide if that happened and everybody knows it. That is the opposite of what Biden wants and as this trial is purely a show to influence the election, that would be counterproductive.

This trial is brought by the state of New York to address crimes that Trump has been convicted of committing.

A crime was committed, charges were filed, a trial was held, a verdict was reached.

That's what this was.

No man is above the law.

Man I hope he goes to jail that would be hilarious.

The fact that it came back so quickly and he was found guilty in every count just makes it look even worse in terms of deficiencies in due process.

The convoluted way the charge was manipulated to upgrade from a misdemeanour to a felony, the actual crime to link it to wasn’t disclosed until after the defence’s closing statement, the lack of actual evidence to what the accusation was, the woeful credibility of the key witness, there’s many grounds for appeal that his team can use. The trial being in New York where he’ll say he couldn’t get a fair hearing. It’ll get thrown out on appeal unfortunately because this case is the biggest overreach legally. It would’ve been better if he was convicted of one of the other two that actually have a decent serious basis.

LOL. Sure, tell yourself that. It was a series of misdemeanors elevated to felonies alleging a conspiracy to commit a Federal crime that Federal prosecutors said didn't happen. This was a show.

Well I guess time will tell.
