I’d venture to suggest that your hatred of Trump blinds you to rationale thought. I’ll bet you good money this is thrown out on appeal.

Like I said before he should be convicted of the classified documents issue and vote tampering in Georgia. If you think that’s “red hat” then I don’t know what to say

The fact that it came back so quickly and he was found guilty in every count just makes it look even worse in terms of deficiencies in due process.

The convoluted way the charge was manipulated to upgrade from a misdemeanour to a felony, the actual crime to link it to wasn’t disclosed until after the defence’s closing statement, the lack of actual evidence to what the accusation was, the woeful credibility of the key witness, there’s many grounds for appeal that his team can use. The trial being in New York where he’ll say he couldn’t get a fair hearing. It’ll get thrown out on appeal unfortunately because this case is the biggest overreach legally. It would’ve been better if he was convicted of one of the other two that actually have a decent serious basis.

There was another high profile case that got a verdict today. Took 5 hours. This one took much longer. And like I said, this was the most obvious one.

If on first appeal all convictions are thrown out completely with no retrial I'll pay.

let’s assume he did this what in the scheme of things is a minor white collar crime. Aren’t you worried the precedent this sets in the future for going after ex Presidents or candidates who most likely all of them have something like this in their past you could find ??

I’d love for someone to ask Douche how many other similar trials he’s followed and average out the time it typically takes for juries to come up with verdicts in an American court system.

Nope. Get em. I'm of the opinion that presidents shouldn't commit crimes. White collar or blue collar. Lock them up.

Fwiw I'm betting most presidents didn't sleep with porn stars while they had a new born baby at home with their wife, pay the porn star to keep quiet, and falsify the payment.

Maybe Australian presidents behave like that frequently though and you are cool with that kind of character being president and that's why you are concerned.

No. I'm not worried about this at all. I hope the powerful people in our society are held to the same standard a street level pot dealer is held to. Our prisons are filled with non-violent drug offenders, yet the elite **** all of us daily and we call it a minor white collar crime. People literally die as a result of the economic damage wealthy people do to us.

I hope we could live in a world where every federal politician is absolutely terrified of stepping out of line and committing a crime that will land them on the wrong side of a felony conviction. I think that would be a much better world.

The flaws are the flaws. The reality in 2024 America is that our legal system has been corrupted. Laws don't matter. Facts don't matter. If Trump is hauled in to court in a jurisdiction that voted against him, he will be convicted even if he is innocent, his civil rights were violated, or the law being used is entirely inapplicable. The opposite may also be true in that Trump could get exonerated for a crime he actually committed if the trial is held in an area he won.

**** yes. Bill for sure should be in prison. I absolutely stopped supporting him when he looked directly into the camera and lied to the U.S. people about abusing Monica Lewinski in the Oval Office. I have not supported him at all since then. I believe he is a criminal and should be treated as such.

mate I’m mostly here for the entertainment of it all. You just can’t make this stuff up, it’s like a GOT series.

As far as character most of these people on power have these shady characters. Poor character in and of itself isn’t a crime. Did Trump grift off this and falsify the record .. ? Good chance. But legally there isn’t enough to prove it. CNN said that the other day
