He should run for the Republican presidential nomination next time. Probably have a pretty good chance at winning the primary now. Trump loses a sexual assault case and gets convicted of a felony in a case having to do with cheating on his wife with a pornstar and he only gets more popular with Republicans.
Imagine how popular this guy will be with Republicans now that he was outed for molesting a 12 year old! Republicans will love this guy. So Christ like. Party of family values.

Why is Cannon holding this unusual hearing?

Good question. She doesn’t have to do so; she could have just denied Trump’s motion to dismiss without a hearing, much less one with outsiders weighing in.

But we’ve learned that Cannon does things her way, often to Trump’s benefit, even if only by way of the delay her approach wins him when she ultimately rules against him. She set Monday morning for a hearing on a related Trump motion under another constitutional provision — the Appropriations Clause — challenging Smith’s appointment and funding; not until Monday afternoon will she hear argument on Smith’s motion to modify Trump’s release conditions to stop him from making statements falsely suggesting that federal law enforcement tried to assassinate him when they executed the Mar-a-Lago search warrant.

While the Trump appointee may naturally be inclined toward the claims pushed by conservative legal luminaries, holding this unnecessary constitutional symposium at all is a victory for the defendant.

Federal law enforcement officers tried to assassinate Trump when they raided mar a Lago now. Would have been really difficult to pull that off considering trump wasn't even at mar a Lago when it was raided lol.

Jesus was so similar to trump though. He was super rich, had lots of wives (and he cheated on all of them. Jesus was quite the ladies man), wore tons of makeup and had fake hair. Jesus loved getting drunk on power, lied every time he spoke, cheated at everything (Jesus was notorious for cheating when he played golf)

Plus everyone remembers the story in the Bible, I believe it was the book of Matthew, that details Jesus' felony trial where a jury of his peers convicted him of his crime and sentenced him to death. It was a totally partisan trial with a partisan judge.

I actually hate the fact that the most active place I can discuss anything politics-related, here on Jazz Fanz, is so lacking in conservative representation and can have a tendency to become a liberal echo chamber at times. I wish there were actually sane conservatives who can recognize the Trump cult for what it really is and provide a desperately needed counterpoint both to the endlessly self-congratulatory and self-righteous leftists and the endlessly insane MAGA cultists. Where the **** are all the moderate conservatives that are so desperately needed right now in our political landscape. For this reason I really appreciate @Bucknutz and @Douchebag K for giving us this needed viewpoint. But they cannot carry the banner alone, especially when they are so soundly undermined by the other "conservative" voices here, which are 99% just trolls. (see above for a great example of that)

I have said it many times, and now it is coming to fruition, but the fact that we latch onto this 2-party system is what will destroy our country. You cannot have the populace split into 2 governing factions and only 2 without the inevitable devolution of the political system into just what we have now, a focus entirely on winning at all costs and no focus at all on the constituencies beyond what hot-button topic will get the votes to win again. We need a viable 3rd party or we will watch our once-powerful and fantastic country crumble in the same vein as Rome.
