Bridges has two years left, Markkanen has one. A year absolutely makes a difference, but not that much.Mikal was overrated AF around the league (which increased his trade value) and is on a long term deal. I agree that Lauri is a better player, does not mean he has more trade value.
This picks coming back in a possible Markkanen trade will with 97% certainty be far from as valuable as our own picks the next two years without him on the team will be. The picks the Nets got from the Knicks pale in comparison to the ones they got back from Houston.
If we trade Lauri, we will get some nice stuff back. I will be extremely surprised though if what we get back turn out to be even close to as valuable as our 2025 and 2026 picks.
