Trump tells ABC News assassination attempt 'has an impact,' Biden 'couldn't have been nicer'

Former President Donald Trump said the assassination attempt on his life over the weekend has left an impact.

In the hours that followed the assassination attempt at Trump's Pennsylvania rally, President Joe Biden reached out to his political opponent. Asked about their phone call, Trump described the conversation as "very nice," adding of the man he's vying against for the presidency, "He couldn’t have been nicer."

President Biden was also asked about his phone call with Trump after this past weekend's shooting, which he described as a "very cordial" conversation.
"I told him how concerned I was and wanted to make sure I knew how he was actually doing. He sounded good. He said he was fine. And he thanked me for calling him. I told him he was literally in the prayers of Jill and me, and I hoped his whole family was weathering this," Biden said.

My daughter is 19 and a summer camp counselor in Northern California. They turn in cellphones each week so she just called because she found out about the shooting. She said her co-counselor who is also 19 looked at her and goes, "damnit, they just missed!"

I'll take your refusal to engage with my hypothetical as a concession of the point.

Here's a hint: the underlying principle isn't "assassination bad" it's harm reduction. I won't be responding to you directly again.

This GD board has gone so downhill, It's a cesspool and its directly the result of these high volume, low information freakos that post nothing but drivel all day. Even when we had right wingers in here saying stupid ****, at least they did it respectfully and cool *** posters were in here on the daily having productive and interesting conversations. Now its page after page of pure, unavoidable garbage. Good to drop in for a few days to view the totally predictable meltdown but definitely not worth my time sticking around for long.

Am I not the one saying that we need a person in charge with the ability to stop needless wars like he did Afghanistan? Do I not brag about how peaceful it was for us abroad under Trump? Do I not harp on needless death and pointless wars where we get nothing out of it but suffering? I'd say I'm more pro-life and pro-peace than a good chunk of you guys. Biden was the one who literally ordered the hit on Trump, provided the kid with the gun, and purposely kept the secret service from intervening hoping the kid would have a clear shot. What Evil Sleepy Genius Crime Lord Biden couldn't plan for were the upstanding MAGA cultists who pointed out the guy climbing the roof so the secret service had no choice but to pretend to go after him, which distracted him just long enough to miss his shot. See that is what you just do not understand, since you are so blinded by blood-lust in wanting to kill children, at least the ones you don't actively traffic. Trump = peace and the 2nd coming of Christ; Biden = dementia-ridden and failing alzheimer's patient who cannot tie his own shoes and it also the Supreme Crime Lord and Most Violent and Cunning Mobster who ever lived.
