John Collins and The Clippers

I have the Clippers as the team that makes the most sense to be calling Wolves to take Randle.

As they're trying to win games, It makes way very little sense to target Collins, even as a desperate move.

Clippers don't have anything the Wolves would want...

Even more in a world that they trade away Randle, a bench scorer as Powell would make a lot of sense to the Wolves. I was surprised to read that, but It seems ESPN reports that Terrance Mann somehow is trade available.

A package with both would make sense to me, another offense initiator off the bench and perimeter defender for the Wolves, a star to focus their offense around for the Clippers, even If It would deplet a lot of their rotation, but feels more like a bold Clippers move, unlike going for a guy nearing tank commander status in Collins

They just got Donte.....

They have nothing (which is why they may talk themselves into Collins)

Donte is a very nice player, but If they were to trade away from Randle, I believe they would (or should) want another offense initiator, even If an off the bench one.

He is off the bench...
If the Wolves were to trade Randle, they would lose Nas Reid scoring punch off the bench (or Donte). And still is a thing of throughout lineups, depth, etc.

I actually think It's funny that what concerns you the most in that trade scenario is "the Wolves doesn't need another scorer that can create his own shot", not "they kinda already have NAW for most of what Mann would do, but cheaper" or "they don't get any PF/C back and could be shorthanded there"

They just wouldn't deal with the Clippers because they have nothing to offer them...

Clarkson could actually be a foot fit for LAC and is more reasonable salary wise. Right now, LAC has Porter/Bones as their bench scoring options. Maybe one of those two works out well for them, but if not JC could be a good option for them.
