Hendricks ~ Rodman?

i didn't ask if he was, i asked if he could be.

if i ever find a board for the jazz that doesn't lash out at people i'm jumping ship.
You threw out a future comparison that makes zero sense. They have completely different skillsets and Hendricks will never be capable of moving the way Rodman did.

I'm interested to see who Hendricks is this year. OF course he isn't Rodman, but if he can actually be a good rebounder, maybe he does have small ball five potential? That would be an interesting wrinkle. Cooper/Lauri/Hendricks is such an interesting future front-court trio with all 3 kind of being small-ball five capable. Unlocks a ton of interesting lineups and Hardy has shown a lot of lineup creativity.

With takes like these? Good luck.

And the answer to your question is not in a million years.

They said Hendricks gained weight. I think he has the physical attributes to play as a five, but he’s lacking in the mental aspects of the game imo. If he’s at the 5, we’re probably in a switch everything scheme…which is something you can go to situationally.

Needs to keep his activity level consistent though. Sometimes he’s great and making plays all over…other times he lets loose balls go by his face and is uninterested. If he had Bazley’s activity level he could go pretty far.

Hendricks will be a great and versatile defender who runs the floor like a gazelle and drains threes at a high percentage. And a decent rebounder. Dont have a comp for that skillset though.
Sure we do, Durant.

He is not Durant or Rodman. Those are superstars. Taylor could be a very good player, but he needs to improve his ball handling and he he needs to improve his 3p shooting percentage to become a good 3 & D player. He might get there, but he might not. What he really needs to improve is his confidence. Lets see how this year goes, i for one am very high on his improvement.

Hendricks has the potential to be pretty good. Right now, his mind is keeping him from being very good. I like what was said that he plays with different intensity levels. IF he could get consistent he could be very good. He will never be Rodman. He will never be durant. I like the comp of JJJ but hot sure he could score that well yet. Right now I am hoping he gets the Jaden MCDaniels level.
