Infection is always talking about fairly nice rich men's Wangs.A very rich man's Wang Zhizhi with a defensive presence. Which is, I might add, a fairly nice player.
Well saidInfection is always talking about fairly nice rich men's Wangs.
I am higher on Tay Henny than most. The combination of 6'9", incredible length, and the high vertical meaning he has tools that most don't. I do think he is a lower IQ player at this stage of his career so if the development is "taylored" to improving the thinking muscle i could see him go places.
I also liked hearing Zanik speak about how Tay grew so much while defending the other teams best players last year. Those things springboard in to big gains when the card are played right.
Lol at the first sentence.Infection is always talking about fairly nice rich men's Wangs.

That is almost the argument for traore and Harper in the next draft. Although I wouldn't say traore is low IQ but not super high either.Just curious. Would you prefer a top level athlete with low basketball feel/iq, or a below average (for the NBA) athlete with top level basketball feel/iq?
That is a great question. I think I would go with the top level athlete but that is a tough one.Just curious. Would you prefer a top level athlete with low basketball feel/iq, or a below average (for the NBA) athlete with top level basketball feel/iq?
We could replace Westbrook with Dennis Smith Jr. in this one and get a completely different answer.Feels like a Westbrook vs Stockton. One was a pure athlete with not the highest IQ. The other was all IQ and Grit with below average athleticism.
I think it depends on the player but typically athleticism pops and sticks. But I gave a terrible example for my conclusion.
Yeah, Stockton's athleticism, especially in his younger years, is insanely underrated. His strength and stamina for his size are probably generational. We could replace Westbrook with Dennis Smith Jr. in this one and get a completely different answer.
I think it's all in how these elements balance out. Westbrook's BBIQ isn't low, and Stockton was by no means a poor athlete on the NBA scale. It's just that their athleticism & feel/IQ respectively were so high in comparison that it seemed like that's all their games were about, with a superficial glance.
Jokic and luka have top IQ but not the most athletic.Just curious. Would you prefer a top level athlete with low basketball feel/iq, or a below average (for the NBA) athlete with top level basketball feel/iq?
At some point, I think the dream scenario is you can do a death lineup (one you only use to break the game in the closing minutes, not a lineup that plays a lot of minutes together) with Lauri at the 5 and Hendricks at the 4.I think one of the things that kinda works against Taylor here is his ideal position is where Lauri's is. Not that they are the same player and you can play multiple guys like that obviously... it might just not be ideal for Taylor personally.
If he has half the toughness of Tucker we are in good shape.More like Roco/longer PJ Tucker
