I was giving them props for being just as loud when they were down 20 as it was at the start of the game, not throwing projectiles. Unlike games in the Hun, we don't hear pins dropping frequently in Provo.....you have to throw a ****ing hamburger or a pizza on the court to get any attention there. I like it that way. Although, I was out of town yesterday so unfortunately I didn't get to be there or at ESA....but personally I wouldn't have been cheering Jimmer....I just like the fact that it bothered so many of you. Everything else about the situation is immaterial to me. You guys hate it, and I love that you hate it. That's it.

Also, props to to Thriller for indirectly blaming the officials for a 14 point loss in a game where BYU actually spent a good amount of time down even bigger during the game. I guess the refs blew the call on the final 15 point shot BYU had to win the game?

Man, I would try not to hate everything BYU but they make it SO EASY!

Nice to notice that you, a ute fan, were apparently watching the byu game.... I guess you dont have any other local college basketball team to watch so you dont really have a choice but to watch byu games for you local college bball fix. (cause the utes are so bad they cant be considered a real team)

Apparently you saw what you wanted to see. Because, the only thing I saw last night was one horribly officiated game won by a clearly better St. Marys team. A BYU crowd throwing stuff onto the floor and usually extremely to a fault calm Dave Rose going Jerry Sloan on the refs should be an indicator of how well officiated that game was.

Obviously though, even with good officials, I don't think BYU even comes within single digits of winning this game. St. Marys is better than this year's BYU team in almost every single way.

I will say however, it would have been interesting if BYU had kept going inside to Davies. Early on he looked like he was going to go off. Instead, Carlino and co decided to go CJ and chuck up 3s which gave St. Marys ample opportunity to take the crowd out of the game and set the tone.
 
Gotta love those who moan for toleration and demand it from others... While opening displaying complete lack of toleration.

Thanks OP and so many others who have posted in this thread, for showing complete and utter disregard for the beliefs of others. You're great examples of "tolerance."

Let me educate you a little bit: We live in 2012. It's pretty easy to access digital media and see EXACTLY what happened in a sporting event without watching the entire thing. I wasn't a Ute fan sitting at home watching the BYU game. However, that doesn't mean I didn't see what happened, read about happened and have seen quotes by some of the folks involved with what happened. On a side note, it's funny to read comments from fans of other WCC schools on the matter. BYU hasn't even been in the there an entire season and may already be the most hated team/fanbase in the conference. Love it.

I live close to Ogden so Weber State can help me with my local Bball fix. That's especially nice this year considering they'll most likely be the only team to represent the state of Utah in the NCAA Tourny. Not only that, but I really like Coach K and think 2-3 years from now Utah will be getting close to regaining the right to claim themselves as the best Bball program in the state of Utah. BYU had their once in a generation or lifetime player in Jimmer, and they rode it to an amazing run of ZERO Elite 8 and Final 4 appearances. Now their window is closing and Utah is rebuilding in the right direction. Unless BYU can catch lightening in a bottle twice with another Jimmer-type player very soon, they will once again be in a famaliar position: Looking up at Utah on the Bball ladder.

That shouldn't be too tough of a pill to swallow considering they already have that view in football. Have a nice day.

How can you seriously say that Utah is building in the right direction? They could have 12 new players next year and be building in the right direction. Everything I've heard about LK is he is a good coach but is not a good recruiter. He better have some assistants to do that and I don't know if he does. They did land the kid from West Jordan but BYU will get all the kids from the South schools in the next few years.

I think the homer glasses need to be adjusted... Just my opinion. Right now the PAC 12 is probably the worst basketball conference out West. The WCC is better and Webers is probably better. That can and probably will change but Utah in no way is in a good position. Considering the PAC is at it worst it's not good that your team isn't even competing in that bad of a conference.
 
By the way, i dont think byu is really looking up to the utes in football. (aside from the a** whooping they received last season)
They have won alot of football games for alot of years now with a nice streak of bowl game wins as well.... and they apparently like being independent since they turned down the chance to go into a bcs conference.
As a byu fan I am quite happy with how things are right now..... lots of wins, and lots of exposure.
Are things perfect? of course not. i would love to get into a bcs game, but 10 wins most years and being on espn or byutv and getting to watch every game of every sport in HD is fine by me..... Plus the football schedule gets much much better in the next few years.
 
Wow lots of hate on this board. I will not get in the religious discussion on here, because last time I did my rep power went from 5 to 0 thanks to some nice members on here. lol
 
Gotta love the overwhelming confidence Utah fans have in their program.

Ya, their current coach is probably better than the previous abortions....

However, they make it sound like their "once in a lifetime" coaches grow on trees. Jimmer? Sure, a once in a lifetime player. Majerus and what he did at Utah? Not too common either.

Even if coach K ends up being pretty good. I don't think that means that Utah will be making any sweet 16 appearances either. Utah needs to realize that they're not Duke or North Carolina. FARRRRR more often than not, you folks are going to finish in the middle of the Pac and will be out in the first two rounds of the tournament (or miss it altogether). Face it, you folks had your shot with Majerus. It's over now. 1998 is over. come join us in 2012.

However, judging by the amount of **** Utes are talking, you'd swear they had already dominated Duke, Syracuse, the Miami Heat, and the Dream Team already.

None of the Utah colleges are going to be building any basketball dynasties anytime soon (if ever).

Which is why I have no problem cheering guys like Andre Miller, Bogut, Jimmer, etc.

We're not NC and Duke, who pump out NBA players yearly and are in constant competition for the NC Crown. Our poor to decent teams are common. Great teams with NBA players are rare.

But that's ok.... Go back to living in your fantasy where only Ute players can be cheered at Jazz games, where the Utes are off winning Pac-12 championships as if they were USC, and going to the Final 4 as if they were North Carolina. And BYU will lose and suck every game in football and basketball and no one will ever go play for their school ever again.
