Following Potential 2025 Draftees

I've watched some of Powell's better games and worse games. I really like him and think he has real potential as a 3 and D guy in the league. I think it is a year early to draft him though, but maybe it's worth the risk at the end of the first round. I don't know if a guy like that would develop better at college or in the G League.

I wouldnt mind him in the mid teens with the Wolves pick. He is good. Jazz need defensive minded wings with talent.

I thought Demin looked a little better last night. It was at home and against a lesser team than they have played yesterday and his numbers were still not very good but he did have one amazing stretch in the game at least. There were more flashes last night. Encouraging

Yeah, made a three-point bucket too. Baby steps.

Forwards with some size who are interesting if they can adapt their games:
  • JT Toppin - plays a lot like John Collins did in college and will need to expand his perimeter skillset similarly
  • Adou Thiero - plays hard and plays good defense, but has to shoot if he wants to be more than James Johnson
  • Collin Murray-Boyles - might be the most interesting of these three and likely has the most diverse skillset to work with
The guy people are starting to talk about is Rasheer Fleming. He doesn't really handle, pass or change directions well--it seems he gets off-balance, but he can make basic drives and knock down some spot-ups. Maybe he'd be a bit comparable to a guy like Markieff Morris. He's probably a bench player, but there's some value there.

A thread throwing (a little) cold water on him as a prospect

I saw this thread on Twitter. While he makes some good points, the NBA game is going to give Jakucionis more room, more options and more quality teammates to work with. In the space and pace of the NBA, I think Jakucionis will show some of the same fluidity and creativity that you'd see from LaMelo Ball, and his game will translate better to the NBA overall.

Gonna be honest, while there are some good points made....it kinda feels like this guy is holding onto his predraft opinion on him. I think the concern about his C&S three ball is dubious and this concept of " losing the possession battle" is a little too arbitrary to be putting so much weight onto. He turns the ball over a lot, that is a concern, but hyperfixating on a somewhat random grouping of stats is odd to me.
