I'm becoming more warm to the idea of another tank+Lauri season, but it is non-negotiable that Sexton and Collins be gone in exchange. It doesn't matter if we give them away for free, being stubborn is a recipe for disaster.
I really think trading them for Dame and getting control of the Bucks ‘31 and ‘32 draft is the move we’ve all been waiting for. Huge win-win.

We already finished last with Markkanen, Collins, and Sexton, right? We just have to do the same thing next season. If we draft well twice, we can make a run starting in the 26/27 season.

So if we get Flagg, we’re definitely keeping Lauri and gonna lose our pick next year right?

Derrick Favors sends his regards.

Jazz defensive woes with the back court+ lot of pretty inexperienced rookie deal players might work well enough in Jazz favor for the pick. Admittedly, the frontcourt of Cooper, Lauri, Walker, Flip and Taylor isn't bad at all, it's a really potentially very good. If they decide to roll with John as well, then it's for sure very competitive front court rotation.

Keynote, Brice, Sexton all lack in defense pretty heavily. Collier is better but it's gonna still be only his second season soot of mistakes will be likely. I can easily see Jazz pull off a tank job with Coop especially if they trade Sexton and Collins.

They would probably trade that pick back to us pretty cheap. I mean they may already be counting it as a near zero asset, so getting something out of it would be nice for Presti.

Ehh. I don't know about that. It's pretty hard to assure ducking the conveyance with the new lottery structure and OKC doesn't need poor-to-middling assets. They'll likely either get a lottery pick or nothing; getting a worse asset doesn't help them at all since they already have more picks and players in quantity than they could possibly use.

Yeah, they're playing with house money. If there's any chance of it conveying, OKC is going to take that gamble over taking something small.
