It makes sense since he does seem to fall between our two first round picks this year, but the way so many have mocked him to the Jazz, it would be at least a small surprise if they did not even talk to him. Or, do they already know enough him through our owner?

It looks like Maluach is coming in next week. The Jazz must be exploring trade-back scenarios. Both Brooklyn and New Orleans are strong candidates to move up to #5 in pursuit of Bailey or Fears.

Wow, if we are bringing in Maluach, there must be some consideration of a Walker trade. Add the fact that Tony Jones has mentioned this very thing... its alot of smoke.

I'm guessing that the Pels and Nets are calling everyone above them to see if they can move up in the draft. The Jazz might have an offer they'd entertain. I think Maluach is still probably in the 7-9 range.

If the Jazz and Kessler aren't seeing eye-to-eye on an extension, maybe this becomes a factor. Replacing Walker with Maluach is less than a lateral move, imo. Maluach has improved a great deal in the past year though, and he's really young.

The Jazz are hosting youth basketball camps and for the two in Idaho, Oscar will be the Jazz player in attendance. They are also bringing in local Idaho college players who are draft eligible but probably won't be drafted. Perhaps this is a way to stock the Stars?
