Some guys in the 2nd round: Fleming, Raynaud, Sion James, Thiero, Kam Jones, Brea, Proctor, Rocco,... I also think Almansa can play.
I think there are a lot of trade discussions that happen during summer league when all the execs are mostly at the same location. It’s interesting that there’s not more trades for players leading up to the draft. I’m assuming that some of these guys (Sexton, Collins, Clarkson - maybe Lauri) will get evaluated like you would a free agent and are traded for that purpose. If Collins and Sexton were Unrestricted right now AND teams had actual money to spend, I think they’d do well. I expect the Jazz to be pretty busy between now and the start of the season.

Right now we have a serious minutes crunch so we know something has to give. Ace will be force fed minutes and you don't target an older guy like Clayton with the idea of developing him slowly. I think you have to clear at least 48 minutes a night for those 2 not to mention Hendricks coming back into the rotation. It’s interesting that there’s not more trades for players leading up to the draft. Should be a hell of a summer league with the amount of nba guys we have playing and the need to move vets.I think there are a lot of trade discussions that happen during summer league when all the execs are mostly at the same location.
I kind see WCJ as a potential pick for next year’s timeline - after the Jazz finish navigating the tank and pivot to trying to actually compete.Right now we have a serious minutes crunch so we know something has to give. Which Ainge?Listening to Ainge on the radio and he said this was their "dream scenario".
Austin, sorry. I thought I put that but I was quick typing(driving).Which Ainge?
Ainge’s played this perfectly. Nobody knew who the actual eff the Jazz wanted. Ace or Tre? Kon or Fears?Windy said there was talk that CHO was gonna swap with WAS so Ace could go 4.....but CHO got spooked that Kon wouldn't fall to 6. Seems like CHO thought we were going Kon.
Yah, I love the way the Jazz created uncertainty about who they loved at 5. You can say they pretty much froze all the potential action in the top 3-6 because nobody wanted to lose their player to the Jazz, while at the same time it seems like the Jazz got who they wanted to begin with.Ainge’s played this perfectly. Masterclass.
Makes me wonder if he wanted the "party" lifestyle. The rumor was that his "team" wanted Washington, New Orleans, or Brooklyn. Washington has cleaned up a little, but all three are historically sub-par organizations and have meant very little on the overall NBA landscape.

I think we were going to take Kon at 5 in that case. Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but on the live stream last night, Boler said something like “Kon Kneupple would have been the pick or could have been the pick”. I think he meant to say “Ace Bailey” but said Kon’s name and had to pivot and say something different lol. That could easily just be Boler having a Boler brain fart though.Windy said there was talk that CHO was gonna swap with WAS so Ace could go 4.....but CHO got spooked that Kon wouldn't fall to 6. The Jazz public posture from the beginning has been "we are not trading up, we love who we can get at 5". If teams clocked that posture this pretty much sends them in the direction of the jazz must really like one or more of Fears, Knueppel... Tre Johnson maybe. And then the Fears mock bombs in the days before the draft. It creates enough uncertainty for CHO to not want to risk it and enough false sense of security in WAS that we are not taking Ace, especially with the news coming in the last two days that Ace has told teams including the Jazz he doesn't want to be drafted by them. It just felt like it was masterfully played by the Jazz. They used everything they had at their disposal - their own posture, potential smokescreen about Fears... and then they even used Ace and his agents statements to make teams not trade up in front of us. Great job overall...I feel bad for Fears because he was used as the smokescreen lol. The more belief the Wiz had in UTA taking Fears, the less motivated they would be to trade up to #4 for Ace. I wonder if they really thought UTA was going Fears.
Not exactly the perfect comparison but Denver also once had both Nurkic and Jokic.Wait, doesn't Portland have Clingan?!?!? Why draft Yang!?! It just doesn't make sense.
There will be stuff that comes out later that will make some sense of this.Makes me wonder if he wanted the "party" lifestyle.
