Charlie Kirk shot at UVU event

Back to putting PJF/Mongoose on ignore so they can just talk among themselves. No reason to even try and communicate with people like that. Hope they both end up on the wrong end of a similar event that happened on September 10th
Feel free to ignore me that is your own free agency. The second option is a fascist way to stop free speech, the first amendment, and a staple of a democracy. You are so brainwashed and disturbed.

It's just funny to see in real time how the "brains" of Mongoose and PJF work to latch onto any small thing and twist it to fit their worldview. It's like I'm a scientist studying maggots behinds a glass wall. It's fascinating.
You reading their drivel? Lololololol. Come on man.

One of my favorite things I have been seeing today is right wingers saying " he is against facism so he has to be on the left"
My response is always the same.... Nice self own lol.

Just as I predicted, I'm seeing a lot people on the right trying to transform Tyler Robinson into the Boogeyman that they expected when they found out the truth was that he wasn't at all the Boogeyman they expected.

So predictable both in that the shooter wouldn't be who they said he was (before anyone knew) and in that they would try to transform him into what they wanted.

According to the center for strategic and international studies, between 2016 and 2025 there were 25 attacks and threats targeting elected officials, political candidates, judges, and government employees there were motivated by partisan beliefs.

For comparison, only two such incidents were reported in the two previous decades.

I wonder what happened in 2016 to cause such a large increase.

I am almost 50 years old. I never even voted before 2016. I couldn't have named more than one person in Congress before 2016. I couldn't have named more than 1 governor before 2016.
I knew nothing about politics.

Now I know all kinds of **** about politics. It's everywhere. It's on TV in the break room at work. It's all over every feed. There are more political shows, podcasts, articles, networks etc than ever before. Kids at the elementary school argue about trump. I was reading a BYU football article and there was a sidebar link to "Trump says utahns wouldn't elect Mitt Romney to dogcatcher". You can't escape. Politics has consumed the country. Everyone, on both sides, has TDS.

There are so many reasons I hate trump and so many reasons I voted against him but the #1 reason is because this obsession with politics that he causes isn't healthy for our society.

People were critical of Biden for "never leaving his basement" and not doing enough interviews etc. Harris got the same types of criticism. (She didn't go on the Joe Rogan show!!! Oh noes)

I would LOVE to have a president that stays out of the limelight and leaves society the **** alone.

trump isn't on TV for 2 days and people think he died.

It's what we do. We all tell ourselves lies to make ourselves more comfortable in our belief system, which amounts to our identify. Just some of those lies are more dangerous than others, and some lead to people shooting other people. But the good thing is Charlie Kirk knew all this and he is a happy and willing sacrifice to keep the lies alive. He said so in his own words after all. We have to accept the sacrifice of gun deaths to have our freedoms.

In response to some lies and despicable things that Stephen King said on social media immediately following Charlie Kirks murder. What Stephen king said on social media probably wasn't as bad as what some of the heinous crap by you idiots so I think the response applies nicely. It appears Thriller made this connection on his own miraculously

Gad Saad — an evolutionary behavioral scientist — told King, "Dear Stephen King, while it is laudable that you have apologized for your post, I would urge you to do the following: Examine why you had the impulse to post such a reaction when a young man had been assassinated. That you succumbed to your dark impulses speaks to your having been parasitized by ideological capture. Your hate for Republicans was greater than your empathy for a wife and two young children who had lost their anchor. Charlie was a lovely human being that did not deserve your nastiness. Never let your humanity be overridden by your orgiastic tribalism."

Couldn't read past page two due to the hate and neurotic comments. He was shot by a rooftop assassin, not an out of control protestor. these type of people will get their guns whether it is legal or not. he openly went against the left just like President Trump and he got shot just like President Trump did. it was declared a political assassination by the authorities. do i agree with all the ways that President Trump does things? no, but that's another discussion. if the response to stating one's opinion is assassination killing then this is no longer a free country.

@cctrackstar care to comment on fish's post?

I agree with both sentiments, we cannot allow political violence to be the solution regardless of who we agree or disagree with. NO ONE should be killed or assassinated or even punched in the face just because someone disagrees with what they say. That's the beginning of a violent regime, and completely unamerican. No one should threaten napalm in the morning on an American city, that just feeds the fire of violence. How do we get those politicians to stop espousing violence.

I honestly did Google to try to find any comment from any Democratic politician that could be taken in any way to encourage violence, even on Twitter, but there aren't any examples of that. Plenty from the right though, directly from politicians, and especially from Trump. Can we agree that politicians encouraging violence is a bad thing?
Yep. Just like what happened to the Minnesota Democratic politicians. The killer had a list of left politicians and targets (planned Parenthood) to assassinate.
Only difference I can see is that planned Parenthood and those Democratic politicians weren't using thier platforms to go around and spread hateful ideologies and intentionally try to stir up trouble.
sorry, the bottom one should have been in the middle. frankly i don't know much about the democrat killings except that it happened. i would refer to my last statement where i said 'if the response to stating one's opinion is assassination killing then this is no longer a free country.' i am a conservative. i don't agree with abortion, and killings and abortion are surprisingly related. fetus is an inconvenience? kill it. democrat is an inconvenience? Kill it. Religious right wing zealot is an inconvenience? Kill it. History is an inconvenience? cancel it. Cancel culture has killed or tried to kill a lot of people lately, what happened to talking? (as for the democrat killings, i didn't know them so i wasn't invested, but i definitely disagree with killing them)
