The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

Ozempic Zion.

That **** can help you lose weight by making your appetite healthy but it doesn’t necessarily help you put in the work.

I have no faith Zion has the dedication to do what’s necessary to be great. The cool thing is I’m not really worried either way. If he ever has a peak, it won’t be when the Jazz are, and the Pelicans are also a complete dog **** organization
He's in extension year. He says something like this every year, that hes fit and ready to go. He still on averages about 30 games a year for the past 5 years. I'd trade him if he has a monster year

The Hornets cut Nick Smith Jr today. He was a late first round pick in 2023 drafted just before Brice and he averaged 9.9 ppg last year.

NSJ is a guy I didn't like at all during the draft, I didn't think he was draftable. He didn't do anything in college to look like an NBA player (had injuries). He is probably a good example of the risk of drafting a guy based on high school stuff.

He is extremely young still and still has potential as a pull up shooter, so maybe he finds a spot somewhere else or maybe he finds his way back in to the league once he's matured a little.

Fringe NBA player at best. He's a poor version of the one of the least desirable archetypes.

NSJ was one of those prospects where people went, “NCAA spacing is bad, wait til he gets to the league”. He barely got to the rim and FT line in college, turns out the NBA is even harder. He’s a late first round pick, so hard to call him a bust. But just another example of how guys actually transition to the league.

Not the NBA, I don’t care.

The WNBA playoffs has been great with a crazy OT finish to end a series. No CC, still great competition. But unfortunately the WNBA is about to go into work stoppage after the year and I do not believe in the league’s leadership. The WNBA cannot get out of their own way.

FYI: I freaking hate how everything is made into a culture war, so miss me with that BS. I’m gonna talk about the league as a league and not political foot. I don’t know if it’s a strategy to win negotiations, but constantly ******** on their star players is ridiculous.
