What's new

What should the FO do if we are 0.500 by January?

If you were put in charge of the FO, what would you do if the Jazz were 0.500 on January 1st

Decent chance the Jazz get a lotto pick out of Cleveland or Minnesota next year
Once again, the Jazz ONLY get the best pick of all three teams’ IF the Jazz own pick is top-8.

Which is a whole layer as to why ****ing around about this is so insane. There is a non-zero possibility the Jazz lose a top-4 pick from either of them, including and especially the scenario that Cleveland or Minnesota’s jumping top-4 pushes the Jazz to 9-or-below.

I believe he is talking about next year when we own both of their picks outright not in a swap this year.

Breathe and read again. Maybe I should have said next season to be more clear. I thought it would be assumed I know what the draft picks are, but my bad.

have a sit down with lauri and let him know he has a thigh contusion that will keep him out the rest of the season. he can sit or be traded, it's up to him, but we are getting a top 8 pick in this draft at all costs - even if we have to break an nba record losing streak. key will also have to understand that he will be sitting some 4th quarters of close games.

FWIW Lowe reiterated the Jazz will lose on purpose to keep their pick on his pod today.
Based on sitting Lauri and the rotations last game... I think its safe to say we have flipped the switch on tank time.

If it holds then we are good.
