Second year is a team-option. I think we’d also still have like $30 million in cap space even if exercising the option (assuming it’s before inking Kessler to a new contract).

I’m a little concerned we’re going to wind up with nothing out of free agency and kind of scrambling to get to the salary floor and stay flexible for the following year, so having the option might be super handy.

Nah, I don't think it's possible the Jazz come up empty handed in free agency. It might not be a great move, but they will get someone of value. Ayo is there, he fits the team perfectly, and he is a UFA.

Would love Ayo. They could even just overpay the **** out of some players on one-year deals to get to the floor.
 
Nurk is an apm god, so BOS could be interested in him. I think I'd be fine just waiving Simons afterwards.

We can take on Simons for Nurkic but also can take on additional salary if needed due to multiple TPE’s being available.

I’d just buyout Simons as well.
 
Golden State calls and offers Draymond (buyout), Kuminga, 26/28/30/32 firsts for Lauri. Are you having a meeting? Need more? Swaps?

Not interested in trading Lauri for picks at all?

Pass, we would be looking at another 3+ years to rebuild with that.

Also, we have a problem not playing young talent over vets at the moment anyways.

I do that
Those picks could be pretty good with an aging steph.

I like kuminga more than most though
