Times like these I really wish The Draft Wheel existed. I think trades would be so much easier to get done if everyone knew the exact draft picks they were trading for.

Would the lakers really do that?
I don’t have thoughts about Dadiet in particular, but this is probably the last year we have lots of minutes to do a trial run. I strongly believe that “developing” is mostly about acquiring/revealing talent. IMO, we should really dedicate more minutes/roster spots to prospects just to see how good they are because we won’t be able to do that next year.
I think we should be very open to adding prospects and approach the rest of the season with an OKC esque “throw **** at the wall” strategy.
They’re talking about it currently. They’re only giving us the 1-4 portion of their 2027 pick. Plus swapping Kyle for Kleber helps them.Would the lakers really do that?
Been thinking about this notion of trading for him now. I think I like it because it seems like it’s a way to keep this year’s pick out of the conversation.
-Nurk/Anderson/Niang + Ace (he has to be)
-virtually the entire Jazz draft through ‘31 (~6 picks and 2 ~swaps)
For
-3 Antetokoumpos
We tank our asses off and hopefully get lucky (they would likely be the source of all ongoing internal improvement over the next four years but at a relatively low cost). Giannis probably doesn’t play this year as he honestly just shouldn’t since this is starting to look like an Achilles risk.
Milwaukee’s going to need a bird in hand (especially if they’re not getting a ‘26 pick) so they get Ace which I think allows us to keep any draft stuff (and who I think is going to be prominently featured leading up to the deadline). I would like to keep one of the ‘31 picks. Maybe they can pick between getting Walker or getting any ‘31 picks. Maybe we send some young talent in the deal and return players Milwaukee does not care about?
And then there’s the factor of whether Giannis stays or not. Yeesh.
I think I do it.
Golden State can offer 3.5 firsts. This year which won’t be any good especially if they got Giannis. Plus 2030 is the 1-20 portion which is great but there is a chance you don’t even get that pick at all. That package might be even more than what we would have to include right now. The only offer that I'm aware of is Jimmy Butler/Kuminga and all of GSW's picks (I believe they have 4) and swaps. I'm sure they would prefer expiring money over Butler's dead money.
On the other hand I'm sure Milwaukee knows they will get better offers around the draft and so we would need to give them something to put us over the top.

No way is that enough.Right, thanks. I think if we offered the expiring contracts, Brice, Flip, our 3 2027 first round picks, 1 additional future pick, and Ace to put us over the top that would certainly be better than what GSW are offering and might be enough to get it done.
