its because of her own stupidity she is in the situation she is right now. pure plain old stupidity. so i couldnt care less.
anyway i think she will be okay or something. i know why the writers did it. to keep a reason for daryll to stay with the group after the sofia affair., there was no reason for him to belong to the group in his mind.
but if something bad happened to ricks wife he now might be blaming himselfand feel obligated towards rick, his wife and or the the group

I doubt Daryl really is going to care. If I were in a zombie apocalypse I wouldn't appreciate being the guy who is called on to go find everyone, especially by a lazy bitch who doesn't do ****.

I didn't think the episode was slow at all. I mean, they didn't kill a lot of zombies and there weren't many special effects but I thought this was one of the better episodes.

I can't put this show in top tier status, however. Too many times I have to ask, "why the hell would they do that?" And the answer is often, "no one would ever do that." Like months into the zombie apocalypse you'd think there would be protocols for how to deal with zombies and presumed dead zombies, as well as what to do with a person who came in direct physical contact with a zombie. Why would you ever let someone go give a recently killed zombie a freaking hug? Why would Rick's wife (I don't pay attention to names very closely) feel compelled to go get Rick to bring Herschel back when what Rick went to do was bring Herschel back? Why carry so many guns if loud noises bring on the zombie horde? Why not carry spears, swords, machetes, crossbows, etc.? Why shoot a person in cold blood but do so in a way that allows that person to still grab you? If you have time to wrestle the guy and still escape the zombies then you probably didn't need to shoot him to escape the zombies. It'd be okay if it was one wtf? moment every few episodes, but there are often multiple wtf? moments in a single episode.

Guns are the most efficient way to kill a zombie without getting close. Any kind of hand-to-hand weapon means close contact. Spears? Were in the hell are they goign to get these? Those are awfully clunky to carry around and can't kill multiple zombies, and Im sure none of them are trained properly to use a spear efficiently. Daryl uses a hunting bow. It's great, but they only have one and it's a more skilled weapon than a gun. Also, it's prone to losing ammuntion quickly if you can't recover the arrows. Bullets are easier to find than arrows.

I don't really see too many "wtf" moments.

Certainly guns would be in the arsenal, but should be a back-up weapon. Spears? Find me a big stick, a large knife (a kitchen knife would work) and some twine and I'll make you a big spear. Or, just sharpen the point. Clunky for sure. But these zombies are slow and if you find one or two and you have several people it should be easy to kill them without needing a gun. I'd have one member of the group standing by with a shotgun incase things got messy.

But these people are very lacksidasical for survivors of the zombie apocalypse. Again, there are no protocols in place for how they conduct themselves or how they handle a zombie encounter. That's a huge WTF to me. Day two of the zombie apocalypse and I'm sitting down with my group and discussing these things and going back and updating the protocols based on lessons learned as time goes on. (Think Zombieland and the kids rules) Every encounter wouldn't be a panic situation, everyone would know their role and how to carry it out. Dealing with a few zombies would become routine. Setting up camp would involve putting up barriers or selecting a spot with natural or pre-existing barriers that provided a defensible position and an escape route.

If I wanted to set up a semi-permanent camp I'd set zombie traps and alarm mechanisms. Again, if the alarm sounds everyone needs to get to their predefined location and carry out their predefined duties.

No one would ever touch a dead zombie until it had been decapitated, and even then I'd set up a hazmat kit for dealing with the remains. I wouldn't load them into the back of a pickup and hop on the pile of corpses and take a ride.

Anyone who had direct contact with a zombie would be quarantined. If they became sick they'd get a lethal injection and have their head removed (lacking lethal drugs they'd be gassed/suffocated to death and have their head removed.

Losing people due to carelessness and lack of planning would be unacceptable.

They definitely didn't seem nice. They seemed like slime balls (the dude pissed in the middle of the bar for crying out loud). He clearly was going to shoot Shane, but Shane (being trained in firearms) was much quicker. I'm interested to see if they do actually have anyone else with them, maybe somebody was with them waiting outside and they are going to follow Rick and company back to the farm.

Yeah that didn't come out the way I wanted it the fat dude was definitely way off and I guess in the past Shane's been more tactful and a politician so to speak and I agree he did have to shoot them as the guy behind the bar pulled first. I just thought the conversation leading up to that point would be different (not saying should just would) and he would actively try to find an alternative for them to go away.
Also I hadn't seen the next weeks preview (don't like watching them prefer to think on my own) so I promise I say this without prior knowledge I assumed there was more then just the 2 in the bar and that was another reason I thought Shane might handle it different and never let it escalate to shooting them.

Oh yeah and all the women on that show I drive me crazy (minus farmers daughter). Shanes wife was stupid for leaving, stupider for leaving by herself and aparently wants to be a stereotypical woman driver in that she can't and does stupid stuff while driving.

I understand what you are saying, but most of these people are highly emotional, so their emotions get in the way of rational thinking.
