There is an article today about Milwaukee trading Bogut. Would you do a jefferson for Bogut straight up? It works on espn trade machine.
I'm no Jefferson fan, but is Bogut really all that much better? When he's missing 40% of his games and not expiring in 2013, we'll all hate his *** pretty hard. The Jazz aren't winning anything this year or next. Might as well not make stupid short-sighted moves. This would be a catastrophe. What is the point of trading Jefferson? Is it to get something better back that we cannot pass up or is it more of a addition by subtraction scenario. I say addition by subtraction. Getting rid of Jefferson by adding Bogut is a near perfect situation.
As much as I like Bogut, he has an even more horrid injury history then Boozer and AK47 does, also all I've heard on this board is that we need to trade Al to free up time for the young bigs. It does free up time this year, but what about next year and the year after that.
Some one suggested we make him take a reduced roll on the bench, that's not an option for a player making 13 and 14 million the next two years. If we take on his contract does that mean we let Millsap walk. What happens to Favors and Kanter? It would hurt there morale. This is not a very good trade at all.
