Black Power!

When P. Diddy is referring to black power is he actually referring to black people or is he referring to the 90% of people who buy his garbage - suburban white kids who like to act like they're black?

When I watched the dunk contest (I only watched because of Evans) and heard Diddy say that I rolled my eyes and went on with my evening. Personally, I thought all that extra crap they were doing to set up the dunks was lame.

When I played ball for SLIC there were a couple a black guys on the team that would constantly talk down to the white guys on the team and call us crackers. It wasn't done in a joking way and was done in a derogatory way. I remember one time (during the off season) at Gold's on Red Wood Road, I had to hold myself back from swinging at one of them for being a bitch to other white kids playing ball and calling them "crackas."

Going back to my original point. If someone says something racest to try and put down another, then yeah, I have a problem with it whether it's about blacks, asians, whites, etc.

The world has a lot of problems because of racists ****ers.

It does make it a lot funner going into big cities and just running all over them on the court though. And it's not just a talk thing, they'll try to body you up every time if you're the light skinned guy in the game. Whenever I've played in NYC/LA they always ask where I'm from and then try to throw their body on me like I won't respond. It's like...sorry guys....but I don't think you pack the same punch as the Polynesians I grew up playing with. So I just end up pushing them back and they don't know how to respond. It's funny.

Typical bully scenario. Anytime some one tries to intimidate you and they fail miserably and they know it they do not know how to respond. Usually it ends up intimidating them.

Let's be honest though, Puff Daddy was probably fresh out of one of Obama's African-American's for Obama fund raisers that was going down All-Star weekend. When the president gathers you as a race and grovels for money from you, and there is likely a bunch of black liberation theology type talk going around, you're probably thinking you're pretty damn powerful, drunk with racial feelings, and ready to say some pretty stupid stuff.

Everyone just needs to remember that blacks were nuetral in the pre-existence and thats why they are inferior.

You should've said, "Why don't you stop acting like a bunch of ****ing n******." And I'm dead serious. Most of that mentality when they do that is posturing or pack mentality and if you said it in the right tone, your point would have been made and they would have been so startled, they would have **** themselves.

I'm being dead serious by the way.

Only if you want to get shot. Me personally I would try to laugh it off.

White people have been bringing down black people for centuries and using the N word. They've been compared to apes and porchmonkey's with that term. The same can't be said about any word that describes a white person. Of course I think it only matters what context the word is used in, like saying it in a rap song or w/e is ok in my opinion (even though I'm not black and it's only my opinion) but saying it as an insult to someone is a different story.

Saying the history and context of a word not being important is ignorant.

So Sex and the f word can be used interchangeably since they mean the same thing?

Good post. Rep'd, likely.
