Following potential 2012 draftees

i see lillard getting a lot of love but what about scott machado?

watching the ohio valley conference tourney and robert covington of tennessee st. reminds me of granger

^^^ But I do NOT think MKG will get a top 5 guarantee.

Davis, Drummond, and Robinson are probably the only guarantees at this point. Barnes is most likely after that, then....who? Sullinger? Jones? When you look at the other choices, it's not hard to imagine him as the 5th pick.

DX has MKG at 3, and Chad Ford has him at 4. There's a good chance he gets a top 5 guarantee from scouts, imo. We'll just have to wait and see how he does in the tournament (though I'm sure he'll really bring it in that kind of competitive atmosphere).

I watch those sites. But UK is hearing 6 teams are currently taking someone else .. putting MKG at 7 or worse. From conversations I've had, though not a decision-maker, I think he's 6-8. I think he goes back. He wants to go back. I sense he hopes things point to going back. Don't underestimate his hard life, losses of father figures, and love for Calipari.

Mkg I could see going back
Miller I think would be stupid. He already lost one year to an injury another injury could cost him.
JonesIII needs to come out no if ands or buts about it. Staying will only hurt him now.

If Kentucky wins it does he go back though? I just don't see it.

I don't see how that would really change his decision. If he wins, he would probably just think that he has a chance to win 2 now. I think a top 5 promise would sway him more.

I see. Do you know who those teams are taking over him? Cause like I said, there's only four prospects I really see as being drafted ahead of him. Jones is soft; Sullinger lacks size AND athleticism; Lamb has lost his momentum; Beal's shot hasn't been dropping as expected...I'm just not seeing how there's more than 4 better choices than him.

It comes down to his broken shot. Do you really want to take a player who may never have a hope to be a consistently hit a 15'-23' shot in the top 5? I can see taking a guy like that 7-10, but top 5 seems high to me.

If he stays an extra year or 2 in college he will at worst prove he is a ****ty shooter and get drafted in the late lottery like Ronnie Brewer did. At best he makes dramatic improvements in his jumper and moves into the top 5.
