What's new

Al - This is how a non-scared leader responds to trials.

Clips are a 5 seed playing a 4 seed who had a better record by a single game.

But sure, it's practically the same situation as a mediocre 8th seed playing an elite team.

I have no doubts that CJ Miles believed we could beat the Spurs. I think we can all say we've seen the results of having a delusional confidence.

I think Griffin is talking about the Spurs in that quote, not Memphis. I'd rather have guys who believed they can win than guys who believe they can't.

I wouldn't call Miles confidence delusional. I'd call it contrived. That makes a big difference.

Al was being Honest. I am not upset at him saying Spurs are better, I'm upset that's what he thought. However, it's hard to blame him when they already lost the first two games convincingly.

Off topic a bit but just wanted to get this off my chest. I think Griffin is a really really good player but a bit of a double standard in how strong he goes to dunk often times an offensive foul with his off hand and yet on the defensive end it takes little to knock him down. Granted I don't watch Clipper games and just catch bits and pieces of games on national TV so I easily could be wrong it just seems from what I see there is a double standard and it bugs the crap out of me.

If we were Clippers fans, we'd be complaining that our best big man - An ALL STAR and our best little man An ALL STAR, and delectably the #1 PG in the universe, need to be traded because the Old Spurs opened up a can on them. Chris Paul was 3/13 or so i think. Spurs pick 'n rolled them off the court. Clips should trade Griffin and Paul. they need to upgrade.

I watched a bit of the game, clearly Griffin was hobbling, and it made a big difference.
If I was a Clippers fan, I'd just be wishing the team was healthy, and thinking they might do better if they were.

Isn't it fantastic that both our young bigs Kanter and Favors are trainning with Big Al this summer....

It probably isn't a huge deal, but it does bother for some reason. I think that maybe I'm worried that they all get really close, and if Big Al leaves....
Or that his selfish play will rub off on them. For whatever reason I'm not thrilled he's putting his fingerprint all over our future.

Al's selfish play is due to his lifelong habits, basketball IQ, and general personality. You can't teach selfishness in a summer. Jefferson's footwork and post moves are simply elite. He'd do both a lot of good.

I was fine with him teaching them moves during the season but I'd rather they were seperated during the offseason. I want to see Sap, The Four, Carroll, Evans and Tinsley hole up some where together and traintheir butts off.

If Jefferson was the one organizing workouts then this would be a concern. They are taking part in a program at P3 though. If anything, Favors and Kanter should push Al to work harder on his body.

This is why I don't want Jefferson with Favors or Kanter. Jefferson said a week ago, that Favors needs to learn that he doesn't have to try to dunk over everyone and be so physical. The guy is loser.
