What's new

Al - This is how a non-scared leader responds to trials.

This is why I don't want Jefferson with Favors or Kanter. Jefferson said a week ago, that Favors needs to learn that he doesn't have to try to dunk over everyone and be so physical. The guy is loser.

I am not entirely sure I agree with you Green. I do not want Favors to lose his physicality or dunking but overpowering someone is not always the right answer. Favors needs to develop finesse and craftiness so that he can make the right move for the right situation. Sometimes that is ripping a ball away from a player and dunking it down their troat and sometimes that is getting your man in the air, going around them and getting a quick lay in.

First, it is great news that the young uns are training with Al. He has plenty to teach them that is good news for Jazz fans. And now that the Clips are down 3-0, what is BG saying now? If he is honest, he is thinking exactly what Al said when were down 3-0.

What does he have to teach them? When you are open for a two foot dunk, instead spin away from the hoop and put up an 8 ft fall away shot? No thanks, just dunk that bad boy home Favors.

Saying the other team is better than you is not a winner's mindset. I remember when the Jazz were killing Kobe in the playoffs and everybody seemed to realize he couldn't beat us but him. The next year he returned with the same confidence and determination, but this time something had changed. We couldn't beat him. That dude has a ton of fight in him. Al does not.

What you say and what you feel are two different things. Yes, he may say he thinks he can beat them, but I seriously doubt he actually feels that way anymore.

Griffin is playing hurt, no doubt about that, and I think Paul is as well. If they were 100 percent, things would be closer, but no way would they beat the Spurs, though if both were healthy they might win 2 out of 6.

Weenie excuses. Both players are out there playing big minutes. Chris Paul just sucks.

To the person(s) saying Al Jefferson is a better player than Blake Griffin:

- Jefferson has a slightly better post-up game than Griffin.
- Griffin is by far the better rebounder.
- Defense? Jefferson makes Griffin look like Mutombo.

Griffin >> Jefferson

No way, man. Blake is a winner, cuz he says so. It doesn't matter what actually happens on the court, as long as the players make sure they say the right things at the right time, so the fans can feel better about losing.

dont agree with that.
the reason why al sucks is because he is a psussy for not doing that
1 ft once every 3 games is not enough
big al should shut the **** up and leave

I would say they are equal right now in terms of overall impact. Obviously in the near future Griffin should be much, much better than Jefferson.

Also, Griffin got 1 rebound in a playoff game, I wouldn't say he is "far better", maybe marginally better.

His defense also sucks, he just isn't as weak in the pick n' roll. Jefferson is a better post defender.

Slightly better post game is probably understating the difference in their post games.

Big piece of lazy **** "al" is probably secretly telling favors not getting free throws is a good thing. Sad thing, he is so blatantly dumb its probably true.

Blake Griffin is a true american hero, and an inspiration to us all....

....who in the end, got his *** swept, just like Al.

Also got 1 rebound in a playoff game.........................................

............ but thought he had a chance.

So, all you guys that are defending Al, both players lost. Who would you rather have? The guy who at least acts like he is still trying to the bitter end, or the guy who openly quits before it's over. We killed AK on this board a couple of years ago for planning vacations before the playoffs were over, yet Al gets a pass? Al Jefferson is a cancer. Not the terrible kind of cancer that eats your face off, or takes an apendage. Al Jefferson is colon cancer, that nobody has looked for, and you don't think anything is wrong until you wake up one day and realize that all your body parts have been ravaged and none of them work correctly (or as hard) as they should, and the only way to fix the body is have every organ removed and transplants put in.

Basically, if the Jazz keep Al along too much longer, they will have wasted the talent found in Favors and Kanter and Burks and Hayward. His bad habits do nothing but inhibit this team. Get rid of him.

His comments are a separate issue/argument than keeping the younger players from developing.

I'm not an Al lover and wouldn't mind seeing him leave for the right trade situation but the bashing that goes on here for him (and a lot of it is deserved) probably keeps me wanting to defend him more than I should.

For the record I would take Griffin every day of the week over Al, however after each of their statements how did they play, I ask this because actions speak louder than words. For "quitting" on the team as you put it Al came out in game 4 and put up 26pts (shooting 13-19) 11reb (8def 3off) 2asst 2stl 1blk and 1TO. That is a solid line. Meanwhile the next game Griffin put up a respectable 20pt (shooting 7-16) 1reb (0 off) 1asst 1stl 1blk 1TO.

Here is there 2012 playoff stats, first is Al's second is Griffin's.

Root - I wouldn't want either. Neither one plays any defense. What's the difference between SA and OKC and everyone else? Their bigs play defense and outside shooting. If you don't help with that, I don't want cha.
