Current standings are posted on the meetup site as well as the next tournament. Just to reiterate, I will be using the meetup site to organize all future games. I'll make an announcement thread on Jazzfanz and for someone wanting to come for the first time I will add them to my RSVP if they don't want to create a meetup account. For returning players, if there is a reason you don't want a meetup account PM me and we'll work it out. I don't want this to be a limiting factor in who attends, but I'd like to make organizing tournaments easier on myself and provide a single source for information to the players.
Many guests of guests are completely out of the loop and partially misinformed about the league details. Last tournament someone who wanted to attend (someone who has won a tournament and wants to stay up in the standings) didn't get the word until the next day. It was my fault for forgetting to include them on the list of players I contact via email. As I said before, there are several ways I check with players before every tournament to see if they want to play. I typically only post the standing in my personal forum. We're getting to the fun part of the season when people are going to start thinking more about standings. I don't want half the players to be in the dark.
If you sign up on the meetup site you can +1 for someone without a meetup account. If you want to add more than 1 I'm sure we can work something out. I consider this a major upgrade to the way I organize the tournaments. I hope other people can see the benefits over time as well.
