At least most athletes don't say "you know" anymore. That used to drive me crazy. When I was a boy, my father used to take me to AAA games (Salt Lake Angels back then). On the way home, we'd listen to the post-game interviews. One time we counted FORTY "you knows" during the PG show. "You know, I just try to go out and give 110%, you know. And, you know, sometimes I hit a homer, you know. And you know, when I'm playing good, you know, the team, you know, has a chance to win."
Other thing that drives me crazy is saying "ummm." Oh yeah, and talking in the 3rd person.
