yeah like i said... i am sure there are times where that happened, and i remember some, too... i just think you're selectively unremembering the times he did the opposite.

at any rate, a PG's job isn't to pass on the break 100% of the time. the PG's job is to survey the options quickly and make the decision that results in the best opportunity to score. in the one season where harris was our primary floor leader, the jazz ranked #4 in fast break points per game. obviously that's not all harris, but a ton of it is, and that indicates that on a decent percent of opportunities, he made the RIGHT decision, whatever that was.

Keep in mind we will still have a very competent fast break runner in Earl Watson, and even Tinsley in terms of feeding our young gazelles on the break. Hayward himself is quite good, as is Millsap, and a couple of others. We DO take a pretty gnarly hit with Harris leaving, but I seriously would be floored if we fell into the teens just because Mo is now replacing Heaven.

I'm surprised that this has not been posted.

Side note this is the famous "Probably his first and probably his last" video in reference to Hayward getting a block.

Al was pretty crucial to the end of that game, at least offensively. I wanted to make love to Heaven after that game, a shame he was traded.

Here's a video of 1985 Slam-Dunk Contest that starred Darrell Griffith.
